ALT Desmond is 20 years old and originally from Anchorage, Alaska. In 2020 he lost his 16 year old younger brother to a police murder in Alaska. In late August 2020, Desmond was arrested during a demonstration at the East Precinct in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. In January 2021 he pled guilty to conspiracy to commit arson and was sentenced to 20 months in federal prison. Desmond was new to the Seattle area when his arrest occured and wasn't able to make many friends before he ended up in federal custody. He wants to make connections with people that are also committed to social justice and the fight for black lives. ALT Kelly was arrested in September 2020 and accused of throwing 2 Molotov cocktails at SPD cars during the May 30th demo in downtown Seattle. On Jan 6th Kelly plead guilty to two countries of possession of a destructive device. He was sentenced to 40 months in federal prison with another 3 years of supervised release after. We are asking people to write him letters as a form of support. Kelly is born and raised in Seattle and would love to make friends and have penpals.
