Most of us use @Google Maps not just to #navigate, but to make #decisions. Imagine a similar decision-support tool for public transport authorities. Good public transport planning requires a clear understanding of #people, #places, and #service coverage. The People Near Transit (PNT) tool brings together spatial analysis and transport data to help cities understand who is served, where the gaps exist, and where investments can create the greatest impact. The #Chennai PNT Analysis found that 61% of residents live within walking distance of public transport, while only 36% have access to frequent transit services. What makes this tool valuable is its ability to transform spatial data into actionable insights.
