THE FUTURE IS ALREADY ON THE STREETS OF CHINA. Humanoid AI robots are already being used alongside police in China — and this is starting to look less like a technology demo and more like the beginning of a new type of workforce. In Hangzhou, humanoid traffic robots have been deployed to help direct traffic, detect violations, warn people and answer questions. One reported deployment involved 15 robots, while broader deployments reached nearly 50 machines across 8 cities. And the numbers are crazy. The operator reported 170,000+ warnings and a 40%+ reduction in some traffic violations during the pilot. Those figures are company-reported and were not independently verified by Reuters. The robot itself? Let’s say around $200,000 USD today. That sounds insane — but if the price falls 70%, we’re talking about a $60,000 machine. Imagine 1,000 robots = $200 MILLION at today’s price. They don’t replace every police officer yet. But they can take over repetitive tasks while humans handle the situations that actually require human judgment. And this might only be the beginning.

Des robots qui fabriquent des robots ... la boucle est bouclée, c'est de la pure SF alors qu'on n'est qu'en 2026. UBTECH vient d'ouvrir à Liuzhou la première usine au monde conçue pour sortir 10 000 humanoïdes par an. Un robot qui descend de la chaîne toutes les 10 minutes. (toutes les 10mn !) Et sur cette chaîne il n'y a même pas de tapis roulant. Ce sont des robots Cruzr qui dépalettisent, alimentent les postes et transportent les pièces, des bras collaboratifs qui assemblent, et des véhicules autonomes pour la logistique. Ce qui en sort, c'est le Walker S2 : → 1,76 m, 15 kg de charge, 52 degrés de liberté → Il change sa batterie tout seul, donc il tourne 24h/24 → Précision de la main sous le millimètre, pince testée sur 80 000 cycles Pour situer, UBTECH a livré 500 robots sur toute l'année 2025. Cette usine en sort autant en trois jours et demi. (et nous on est encore en train de discuter de l'age de départ à la retraite ... JPP !)
