I don't think I've said this publicly ; last year an ex-team mate audited what our MS Intune (gcc high) policies had applied, against what it had claimed it applied across multiple policies...not good, large gaps. we never got an answer what happened from MS or a fix.

This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP.

AI Safety is an engineering problem
Agent governance is an engineering problem.
We’ve built safeguards into Perplexity’s infrastructure, harnesses, and tools, and put them to work across our products.
Today we're sharing how we engineer safer agents:

This is reductive and does not assume best intent. I think what you are hearing in the discourse is the hope that:
1) Individuals with defensive cybersecurity and DFIR expertise will be included in post-mortems, alongside the young, very intelligent but also very AI-pilled individuals who happen to publicly espouse a narrow band of beliefs on AI harms. My suggestion, which I have made privately to your colleagues, would be to form tiger teams drawn from both DFIR firms and security teams at other AI companies to help investigate these incidents and publish the results under the auspices of the FMF.
2) We will start to hear from the well-respected security professionals at the Big-L Labs and not just the AI researchers, who live in a bit of a personal and professional bubble and have a tendency to dramatically quit instead of working the problem.
3) The big-L Labs will publish self-regulatory rules and follow them. The best way to regulate is just to do it. I would start with draft Level 1, 2 and 3 security architectures for RL/eval environments. This would create targets for NeoClouds and other providers. (1: normal runs, proxied internet access and monitoring. 3: cyber-tuned models, air gapped). Happy to contribute.

"Interpreter?...from the embassy?"
Trumps envoy, Witkoff, used a Russian agent as his interpreter thinking she was from the US Embbassy.
They're so painfully dumb.

“The last thing I heard was the voice of my children playing, then everything went black. When I opened my eyes I thought I’d gone blind. I couldn’t see anything. I could no longer hear their voices. I checked to see if my wife was alive. Her back and legs were fractured, but she was alive. So I turned on the light of my phone and tried to find the children. My three-year-old daughter Julia was calling to me from beneath the rubble: ‘Baba, Baba, where are you?’ I carried her to a safe place then went back for my second son Kareem. He had severe head trauma. He was in a trance. He kept saying: ‘I’m sorry Mama. Please don’t blame me. I’m sorry.’ When I brought them to the hospital, I refused to let my colleagues deal with their injuries. I dealt with them alone. I did the dressing. I removed the sutures. I wanted them to feel: ‘Our dad is taking care of us, maybe he can still protect us. Maybe he’s still our hero.’ We’re doing OK, I guess. My wife is in a wheelchair now; she can’t walk. So I’m everyone’s caregiver. The children’s wounds are healing slowly. But there is a big problem with their brain. They cannot eat well, cannot talk well. Julia is still waking in the night and screaming. Every time she hears a rocket she starts trembling and crying. I used to tell her: ‘Don’t worry. They’re not targeting us.’ It’s a myth that all of us in Gaza tell our children. But it doesn’t work anymore; she knows that it’s a lie. I'm trying to keep myself together, so they can still see me as their hero. But no, I am not strong now. I'm weak. I’m not eating well. I used to wear better clothes. I’m not OK. There’s so much fear. Fear that they will never recover. If there’s another strike, even near us, they will lose their mind. You understand me? And I have so much guilt, because I’m the reason we stayed. We had a chance to leave Gaza, one year ago. But I refused. Because I love my people. I love my patients, so I chose to stay. But I regret all of it. My children had the right to live their life. Not this life I chose for them. I'm not okay. I didn't do well with my children. I didn't save them or protect them. We used to be a beautiful family. But now, I don’t know.”

🚨NEW: Former U.S. Green Beret Anthony Aguilar says he routinely witnessed Israeli forces (IDF) firing artillery tank rounds and mortar rounds into crowds of unarmed, starving Palestinians at GHF aid sites in Gaza.
“I witnessed war crimes,” the GHF security contractor told the BBC, calling the attacks “indiscriminate” and “the worst brutality” he’s seen in his life.

The Heritage Foundation seems to be setting a lot this administrations policies. Their Project 2025 document outlines a desire for creating large economic and monitory changes to the US. They're looking to undermine or even abolish the Fed.
Scene's that we can expect to see in the aftermath of the inevitable happening Ireland due to the lack of flood warnings, mitigation/protection schemes and mismanagement/clear cutting of our uplands forestry. @CarlowWeather
A large part of the 2008 financial crisis were ratings agencies lying to get business. What we’re sleeping on is the shortcomings of the big accounting firms… just to get business. The lack effective financial controls or procedures at most audited companies is incredible.

Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.

Telegram is no better than sms in my opinion. It lacks end to end encryption. You’re better off with WhatsApp, but you’re absolutely golden with @signalapp. Signal is head and shoulders above any other messaging app.
Telegram just hit half a billion monthly users—many of whom fled WhatsApp due to its sharing data with Facebook. Seems like a good time for a reminder of why Telegram is probably not the more-private-than-WhatsApp messaging app you're looking for. wired.com/story/telegram-enc…
