I might be one of the only RevOps people on planet earth who gets excited about buying new fonts.

I got @bot reading my LinkedIn saves from the previous week each Monday and sending me a newsletter. Next step having it read it daily to find anything worthwhile that’s not full on slop or cringe lunatic then only giving me the real stuff! Never looking at LinkedIn again!

It’s insane how much more powerful Claude <> Salesforce are with the beta MCP. This feels like what we all expected from AgentForce but were never able to get even remotely close to.

American-made products are not impossible. Stories about iPhones costing $37,000 or laptops costing $100,000 are psy-ops, sometimes pushed by foreign adversaries but more commonly by American corporations that want anything but an upset to the status quo.
Palmer Luckey says companies are exaggerating the cost of American manufacturing to justify staying in China: “They don’t want to admit that it is a choice.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳 “I don’t have a lot of sympathy for people who pretend that manufacturing in the U.S. is this impossible, order-of-magnitude problem. A lot of it is very self-serving. They want to justify why they’re in China. They want to justify why it’s OK for them to stay in China. They know that when sanctions hit as a result of a potential Taiwan conflict, they want to say, ‘Nobody could’ve predicted this, and I had no choice anyway.’ They don’t want to admit that it is a choice. If Chinese subsidized steel is a third of the price of American unsubsidized steel, a tariff isn’t going to work. But if the price difference really is 30%, then a tariff could bring the American steel industry back. It’s critically important to get this question right, and there aren’t enough people talking about it.”

The number of people I encounter in RevOps who gatekeep information is alarming. Preventing someone from doing something isn't job security for you. You become the inefficiency in the system. Inefficiencies will be removed. That's our job.

Gatekeeping won't get you a promotion and it sure as hell won't keep you employed for very long. Stop doing it. You're ruining your career and making your life miserable at work.

We need to encourage our teams to let others take on their own work. Build the dashboard for someone, then hand it off. Don't protect something that serves a singular purpose and requires regular updates. Self-service is your lifesaver!
3
It's ok to remind teams that what they built in the past IS what got the company to where it is today. At the same time it IS ok to realize that you might need to build something different to get the company to the next step.
3
If information is being gatekept, it's likely an attempt to hide something that someone doesn't want to admit isn't their best work. We need to remind them that our role in RevOps is to make our teams more effective.
10
RevOps leaders need to encourage teams to air out their skeletons in their closets without fear. Everything in the past was done for a reason and we need to cut our predecessors some slack. At the same time we need to search out and destroy old processes that are no longer necessary.

Three days spent each month running comp adds up to 36 days a year (288 HOURS). That is a massive amount of time that could have been used to build a more efficient system.

I once had a guy on my team tell HR that they thought I (the head of RevOps) shouldn't have access to sales compensation numbers because they didn't think I should know that information. They wanted to own the comp plans. Comp took 3 days to run. No AE had ramp schedules.

95% of RevOps is just using AI to answer questions about the tools that other people purchased because everyone assumes you are an expert in every marketing or sales tool ever created.

I’ve been in the Salesforce ecosystem for 15 years… about 4 years ago I went all in on Trailhead and started to study for certs. 2 certs in I realized I was tying myself a product not real skills or strategy. Needless to say I’m glad I stopped drinking the Salesforce cool aide.

Six years ago Bernie told us that we had six years left because of climate change. That grift is over and now he’s onto the robots. Mock this miserable goon into oblivion.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp says people arguing we should pause AI development are not living in reality and de facto saying we should let our enemies win: "If we didn't have adversaries, I would be very in favor of pausing this technology completely, but we do.” Via @cnbc

The world is going to be alright, guys. Keep having kids, loving your family, and starting and building businesses and institutions. Don’t live in fear. Leaders have big responsibilities and challenges ahead, but it doesn’t help to scare everyone. We are on top of it.

🚨 UPDATE: Absolutely jarring split screen as Zohran Mamdani LAUGHS IT UP at 9/11 Ground Zero with AOC — as someone is literally crying while the names of the fallen are read Freaking insanity. This is EXACTLY why the families didn’t want Mamdani there I don’t think he actually takes it seriously. New York forgot.
