Building in Africa requires resilience and deep networks. Nice time at ABF '26 Kenya. #blockchain #Web3 #crypto
BitMine reported 6,001,302 ETH as of September 27.
That's roughly 4.9% of the entire Ethereum supply.
And it isn't just holding it.
BitMine says approximately 5.07 million ETH is staked. #cryptocurrency
Strategy just bought another $142.7 million of Bitcoin.
Another 1,665 BTC. Average price: $85,681.
Total holdings: 847,666 BTC.
That's more than 4% of Bitcoin's eventual 21 million supply cap. #Bitcoin2027 #cryptocurrency
Would China agree to international AI governance?
China wants:
development + security + state oversight + international governance.
Amodei wants:
development + safety + independent verification + deliberate pacing of frontier capability.
Those are not identical. #AIAgents
Mexican Musician was murdered for $1.5M in Bitcoin?
Prosecutors say suspects believed Jonathan Meléndez had millions in BTC in a cold wallet.
But $1.5M is NOT confirmed. A family witness said he had ~3M pesos in crypto.
The bigger risk: wrench attacks. #bitcoin #cybersecurity
Apple's launch on September 9 is going to tell us a lot about where the company and the smartphone market are heading. #iPhone修理
Crypto custody is really:
Convenience vs control vs recovery risk.
Exchange = easier.
Software wallet = more control.
Hardware wallet = stronger long-term custody model, but more responsibility.
Self-custody doesn't remove risk.
It moves risk to you.
Will the Fed cut or hike?
The White House wants a cut.
Fed Chair Warsh is open to a hike.
Waller says wait for the data.
Meanwhile:
Sept. hike odds: 63% → ~50%
10Y yield: −4–5 bps
3 signals. One $30T+ Treasury market.
Who wins when politics and monetary policy diverge?
Iran escalated. Oil surged. Treasury yields rose. U.S. stocks still gained 0.5%.
That is the interesting signal.
🛢️ WTI: ~$91
📈 S&P 500: +0.46%
₿ Bitcoin: ~flat to slightly higher
One shock. Three different prices.
The market isn't pricing “risk.” It's pricing different risks
Goldman: ~$489B of AI debt issued in 2026 YTD vs. $322B in 2025.
Morgan Stanley: ~$570B by year-end.
The bond market is still saying yes.
But the real question is:
How much AI capex can credit absorb before risk gets repriced?
Nvidia’s earnings may offer the next clue. #bond
For a tech this revolutionary, you would wonder why it is not getting much credit but then again it is quite clear. Crypto is re-engineering decades old financial infrastructure and that narrative does not sit too well with some of the ones getting disrupted.
Crypto doesn't get enough credit for the financial access it's already unlocked for the world.
- Stablecoins brought the dollar onchain. Anyone, anywhere can own a low inflation currency, and send it 24/7 for a fraction of a cent.
- DeFi gives anyone access to credit.
- Tokenized stocks let 4B unbrokered people get exposure to the US stock market.
- Bitcoin gives a store of wealth that can't be inflated away.
There’s more to do of course, but don’t forget about how far we’ve come
Most people think AI agents are the next wave of economic participants, making micropayments and even controlling trading accounts.
Couldn't be far from the truth.
In a space where frameworks for trust and security are still fragile, this bet just seems too early for me.
