As temperatures climb across San Diego, remember to keep pets safe & cool. Walk early before pavement heats up, ensure constant access to fresh water & shade, and never leave pets in a parked car. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them! More at sdhumane.org/heatsafety
12 dogs are safe at our Escondido Campus following Wednesday's fire at a senior living community. Alongside Escondido Fire, our Humane Law Enforcement and veterinary teams evaluated ~25 evacuated pets for smoke inhalation—and thankfully, none required critical care.
🚨 An extreme heat warning is in effect across San Diego County and the rising temperatures can pose serious risks for pets. Keep pets in the cool indoors, skip walks during peak heat hours and never leave a pet in a parked car! For more tips, visit sdhumane.org/heatsafety🚨
