No trip to Bryce Canyon is complete without a photo of Thor’s Hammer. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #potm #brycecanyon
A common theme with my photos from Utah is color correcting and brightening snow in shadowy areas. The masking tools in Lightroom make complex masking selections much easier. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #inpost #photo #tutorial
Winter snows close the access road to Paria View in Bryce Canyon National Park. Don’t let the short hike deter you from taking in this wonderful view at sunset. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #inthefield #photo #adventure #brycecanyon
Give me 3 minutes and I’ll improve your ON1 Sky Swap AI results for silhouetted subjects like trees. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #tutorial #skyreplacement
ON1 Photo RAW 2023.1 added a new Sky Swap AI model. I’ll show an example where the new model is better and when you may want to choose it instead. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #tutorial #skyreplacement
If you are not using the Intersect feature of Lightroom’s masking tools, you’re missing out on some great power. I use these all the time for my landscape editing. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #ligthroom #tutorial
Need a quick bump to the midtones. Skip exposure, skip curves. Try the Color Grading tool in Lightroom. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #ligthroom #tutorial
In my Live Edit videos, I process an image I’ve never worked on from start to finish, sharing my thought process and reasons behind choices along the way. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #inpost #photo #tutorial #liveedit
In prep for my Death Valley workshop later this month, I made another scouting trip to the park. Join me for a sunrise visit to Dantes View on this edition of In The Field. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… #inthefield #photo #adventure
The Exclusion blending mode is a challenging one to explain without diving into math. And I won’t do that. Instead, I’ll show you how to use it for color grading. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #tutorial #blending
Difference, as its name suggests, measures differences between two layers. I use this blending mode when I need to manually align layers. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #tutorial #blending
If an ON1 Effects filter shifts color in an unwanted way, try using the Luminosity blending mode. Luminosity deals only with brightness values, protecting your photo’s hue and saturation. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #blending #tutorial

The contrast increase from Vivid Light is a strong one and can overpower a scene. Temper its Opacity - and try it out for color grading (my preferred use for this blending mode). scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #blending #tutorial
The Soft Light blending mode has a more subdued touch than the Overlay mode. I like this mode for subtler texture blends. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #blending #tutorial
The Overlay blending mode is one you should know. An excellent way to pop contrast and blend exposures, it is one of the most popular blending modes. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #blending #tutorial
Color Dodge is a useful blending mode for creative and unique color grading. Its results can be harder to predict, so do be prepared for some experimentation. scottdavenportphoto.com/blog… @on1photo #blending #tutorial
