The tendering process was successful, a company won the contract but Irish Rail can’t sign as the NTA won’t allow it since the Department of Transport won’t sign off the funds needed
Commuters aboard the Cork to Dublin, or Belfast train can avail of a cool drink or a salty snack - but passengers boarding any other intercity service better come prepared, because catering services have never resumed since they were suspended in 2020 during Covid

With all the talk of Mayo finally ending their wait to lift sam, it got me thinking, is there anyone longer? Turns out there is, the last time for Roscommon was 1944, Kildare in 1928, Tipp was 1920, Wexford in 1918 and Limerick in 1896.
Along with counties that have never won, Antrim, Carlow, Clare,
Fermanagh, Laois(played in 1936, Lost to Mayo), Leitrim, London (Played 4 back to back in 1900 lost to Tipp, 1901 on 1902 to Dublin & 1903 to Kerry), Longford,
Monaghan (played in 1930, Lost to Kerry), Sligo,
Waterford (played 1898 Lost to Dublin), Westmeath, Wicklow

DART is 42 years in service today July 23rd
42 years later we still have yet to start work on any new lines. The original plan had mutiple lines, underground sections all to be done by 1989.

As far as we know the new DART+ train has never visited Greystones
It is accurate that during design stage of the new fleet there was a gauging problem with the pantograph. How that was solved we do not know...
