Alright, I'll be giving away this $10,000 Gucci XBox to a follower who retweets this in the next 24 hours. I'll ship it anywhere on earth. Good luck. Here's what's inside: youtu.be/JnGXTk57rOU

It really is a game changer in terms of productivity! I'm going to steal a page out of @sasajuric's book and give it a little LiveView spin lol.

I thought I was informed - this thread is one of those reasons why Twitter can be fantastic:
All right. Let's talk about how the Confederacy survived the Civil War, was absorbed into our culture, laws, and politics, and remains an everpresent threat we must destroy. I didn't know any of this until I started researching American Rule. 1/ penguinrandomhouse.com/books…

I wrote out some thoughts on how to make this moment a real turning point to bring about real change––and pulled together some resources to help young activists sustain the momentum by channeling their energy into concrete action. medium.com/@BarackObama/how-…

1/@elmlang, I've been developing an Elm+React+Elixir app for a Financial Services organization. Here is how I went about advocating for Elm:
1
4/ Elm's Compiled nature, distilled architecture, lack of runtime exceptions by design, ease of refactoring and ability to embed fancy React components that the org has paid for are all very important arguments
1
5/ It helps to have org experience with pain of developing and maintaining large scale Javascript frontends, great experience with introducing new tech (elixir in this case), a Manager open to new ideas and some built up dev cred

Some people are calling the 737MAX tragedies a #software failure. Here's my response: It's not a software problem. It was an * Economic problem that the 737 engines used too much fuel, so they decided to install more efficient engines with bigger fans and make the 737MAX. – at Brooklyn, NY

A lot of programmers make the mistake of thinking the way you make code flexible is by predicting as many future uses as possible, but this paradoxically leads to *less* flexible code. The only way to achieve flexibility is to make things as simple and easy to change as you can.

Elmboy now able to synthethise audio (44100hz, stereo) in pure Elm and all that while still keeping up 60FPS on my local machine. A lot of work went into this and I can't wait to release this feature as soon as it's more solid. Sneak peek attached. :)

Scientists & engineers launched “InSight” from Earth (a moving platform) across 300million miles to arrive where Mars (a moving target) will be seven months later, landing safely to do geophysics at the Martian equator. And you have a problem listening to us about climate change?
