The team became aware of an issue affecting a position held within the strategy that is affecting the liquidity of a portion of the protocol's reserves. In the interest of users, and after consulting with legal counsel, the relevant smart contracts were promptly paused. This was not the result of a smart contract exploit, hack, or code vulnerability. The protocol currently holds approximately $27M in available liquid assets, and continues to hold additional positions and associated PnL as part of the strategy which are not presently liquid. We cannot at this stage confirm the timing, amount, or recovery value associated with these positions. Unwinding and recovering the remaining book will be a time-consuming process, and at this stage we cannot confirm the amount or timing of any recovery. In response to user requests for liquidity, Neutrl will be opening an early redemption mechanism for NUSD and sNUSD holders — that on advice from legal — would be structured to treat all holders equitably. Full details and terms, will be provided ahead of any redemption start date. Neutrl is targeting early September, subject to completion of a successful deployment of a new redemption contract, independent contract audit and further legal and financial review. This timeline may change. Neutrl is working with legal counsel to pursue the best outcome available for users.
