Stapedotomy is a small ear surgery for hearing loss.
When the tiny stapes bone in your ear gets stuck and can't vibrate, sound doesn't pass well.
The surgeon makes a tiny hole in it and puts a small artificial bone so sound can pass again. Hearing comes back.

"The well-being of the individual and of human and Christian society is intimately linked with the healthy condition of that community produced by marriage and family” (Gaudium et spes, 47). The Church is well aware of this, as shown by the pastoral concern of the Popes who have succeeded one another since the last Council, right up to the two Synodal Assemblies convened by Pope Francis, which were addressed again in recent days by the Heads of the Eastern Catholic Churches and the Presidents of the Bishops' Conferences. #GeneralAudience

Pope Leo is returning to his schedule of audiences after one week of convalescence, and he still needs prayers!
As the Holy Father resumes his duties, we can turn to the intercession of St. Bernardine of Siena, the 15th-century Franciscan friar known as the “Apostle of Italy” and for his association with those suffering from lung problems.

Friends, a pet is not an adequate substitute for another person—and I say that as a dog lover!
We’re the animal that speaks, and that’s where human contact is made. “Cor ad cor loquitur,” says St. John Henry Newman’s famous motto. “Heart speaks to heart.”
You’re not going to find that with a dog or with your computer screen. You can only find it in conversation with another.

Gospel of the Day (Luke 12,35-38)
Jesus said to his disciples: “Gird your loins and light your lamps
and be like servants who await their master's return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks.
Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them.
And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants."
