I was due to attend the Lewis Capaldi concert on the Town Moor but couldn’t because there was no disabled parking. We were told to park miles away. I’ve had major spinal surgery, and travelling long distances over a pathway in my wheelchair causes severe electric shock sensations, so attending simply wasn’t possible.
How does this meet the duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010? Disabled people shouldn’t be excluded from major events because of a lack of accessible parking. I’d be grateful if you could look into this.
