No runway. No limits on what's possible. On October 26, Electra made aviation history in New York City, performing a series of takeoffs and landings in our hybrid-electric Ultra Short aircraft at Manhattan's Downtown Skyport. It was a demonstration of what Life Beyond Runways will look like: reimagining where aircraft can operate, making regional travel more accessible, and taking us directly to where we live, work, and play. Now, experience the full demonstration, from takeoff to touchdown, against the Manhattan skyline. The birthplace of aviation is helping build its next era. Yesterday, we joined Office of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and our state and local partners in Springfield to celebrate the future home of Electra's EL9 Ultra Short aircraft production facility. Thank you to @GovMikeDeWine, @JobsOhio, @daytonregion, and the Springfield and Clark County communities for welcoming us into their community as we usher in the New Era of aviation. Our planned $850 million investment at AirPark Ohio is expected to create nearly 2,000 jobs, helping bring the next generation of hybrid-electric aircraft manufacturing to the Miami Valley. From the Wright brothers to the next generation of hybrid-electric flight, Ohio continues to shape what's possible in aviation. #Electra #DirectAviation #LifeBeyondRunways #Ohio #AdvancedAirMobility
Nearly 2,000 jobs. $850M. A new era of flight. Today, @ElectraAero was officially welcomed to @springfieldohio, where it will build the hybrid-electric EL9 Ultra Short at scale. @GovMikeDeWine @naamce @Hoag8 @DaytonRegion @nauseef

We said where we land next might surprise you.  The third era of aviation just landed in Lower Manhattan. ✈️ Electra’s hybrid-electric, fixed-wing Ultra Short aircraft just completed a historic flight demonstration at the Downtown Skyport. No runway required. This latest chapter in Life Beyond Runways shows what becomes possible when an airplane needs just 150 feet to take off and land. Regional flights that reach city centers. Journeys that save hours. Military operations that can reach places conventional aircraft cannot. This is the promise of Direct Aviation - bringing flight closer to the places people need to go. What if air travel started closer to home? Not at a traditional airport, but at places already woven into our cities and communities. That's the promise of Direct Aviation. And we're about to show you what that future could look like. Stay tuned. #LifeBeyondRunways #Electra #DirectAviation #UltraShort #EL9

Today, we joined our partners @Bristow_Group, @Avinor, and the Civil Aviation Authority Norway in announcing five new locations for our series of flight demonstrations in Norway. Starting in 2027, these demonstrations will lay the groundwork for a Direct Aviation ecosystem, bringing together regulations, policy, infrastructure, and aircraft operations to make more direct travel a practical option for more people. For more than a century, runways have defined where airplanes can go. What happens when an airplane needs just 150 feet to take off and land? Life Beyond Runways is our series of real-world demonstrations showing how Ultra Short aircraft can bring air travel closer to the places people want to go. Imagine a business trip that gets you home for dinner. A weekend with family that starts sooner and lasts longer. Or a daily commute that skips the traffic. Less time traveling. More time for the people and possibilities that made you want to go in the first place. Discover Life Beyond Runways: electra.aero/beyond #LifeBeyondRunways #Electra #DirectAviation #UltraShort #EL9

This is Charles Schwab CEO Rick Wurster. He says Charles Schwab will offer prediction markets for financial trades, not sports, because "we don't want to be in the gambling business." Investing is investing. Gambling is gambling.

Americans are seeing through prediction markets. A staggering 75 percent of those polled by Reuters and Ipsos recently say prediction markets offer sports betting. Only 8 percent said otherwise.

Wise words from @debbiecoxbultan. People want their leaders to get shit done on their behalf to address the cost of living. It's about how expensive life has become.
When state and local leaders talk to me about what they’re hearing from voters every day, it’s that people are frustrated with this economy. They’re not playing the blame game. They’re asking for leaders to get sh*t done to make their lives more affordable.

The states are seeing what tribal gaming leaders see: Prediction markets are using a loophole to infiltrate sports betting.

That's because Prediction Markets are violating federal law, as two circuit courts have found and the Supreme Court will likely take up.
As states continue to pass conflicting laws governing prediction markets, the best answer becomes clear. One federal rulebook that strictly and consistently regulates markets and protects consumers more effectively than fifty separate state fights.

Actually what the 9th circuit said is that it ain't like gambling; it is gambling (Class III gaming)...
States already regulate gambling. But they argue that just because sports betting is regulated as gambling, every other sports-related market also has to be regulated as gambling. Different markets can be regulated differently, even if they involve similar events.

Pretty sure that's a bet.
🚨BREAKING: A Polymarket user put $20 on UNDER 7.5 runs in Yankees–Rays at 0.1% odds after a home run made it 4-4... Officials then overturned the HR for fan interference & no more runs scored, turning $20 into $20,000.
