Air Force veteran Marvis is in physical therapy after a serious car accident, relearning how to walk.
Today, his wife passed away. One of our volunteer veterans was with him when she took her last breath.
His SSDI case is nearly complete, with court next week. Right now, he needs $2,420 to stop an eviction.

Every time my neighbor drove past, I kept thinking the same thing: that nice ride needs a new Navy plate.
His name is Sam. Some of you in Salina may know him as the guy who delivers your mail for USPS. He’s a good guy, a good neighbor, and a Navy veteran.
I’m an Army guy, so we’ve enjoyed giving each other a hard time over the years, especially around the Army Navy game. 😂
I’d noticed how faded his front Navy plate had become compared to nearly everything else on his black Dodge Challenger. I figured this new one would look sharp, so I bought it as a little surprise.
I’ve had it tucked away for months, waiting for this occasion.
TODAY, October 13, marks the U.S. Navy’s 251st anniversary. A fitting time to celebrate Sam and his service. ⚓🇺🇸
For now, I’ll celebrate the Navy and a good neighbor. But when game day comes…

This is a complex situation. We have been working to do everything to help this homeless RETIRED (amputee) Air Force veteran mom and 2 children.

Code of Vets needs YOUR teamwork to help this Veteran Mom and her two elementary-age kids.
Aneeya is a USAF veteran, a below-knee amputee, and relies on an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) plus oxygen/breathing equipment. After leaving an abusive situation following a hospital discharge, she and her children cannot safely stay in a DV shelter because of her medical needs and equipment.
COV is already coordinating behind the scenes with an SSVF case worker and a social worker to build a sustainable foundation of stability. Right now, the immediate need is $2,500 to keep them in a hotel room long enough for that support system to lock in place.
Even $5 makes a real difference and gives these kids a measure of safety and stability while the longer-term plan comes together.

In May 2025, I was 426 lbs, health issues more than you could imagine especially since I was always small when I was growing up. Pulling back from politics and focusing on my health more, this morning I am at the VA and I weighed in at 300.5 lbs ❤️❤️😜
Much thanks to my friends that keep in touch with me for my mental state and the VA for giving me a great team over the past year. It’s been a journey and I am focused on year two.
