Scientific software engineering needs to test before a golden can be found.

Python: syntactic sugar to C function calls. When it is not, it is syntactic sugar to C code itself. Especially so for number-crunching code.

#sciwork20 conf.sciwork.dev/2020/ is an attempt to see how many scientific / engineering / numerical software developers we have in Taiwan. Based on what I observe, there are few of us. So no reason to miss it, right? I’ll repost tweets like this for a couple of weeks :)

Reviewing @sciwork talk proposals (papercall.io/sciwork20) and getting excited. For the first-time, small conference, I didn't expect so many high-quality submissions! We’ll have hard decisions to make (there are only 6 time slots for talks.)
