Part of the COALESCE team joined the @Falling_Walls Science Summit and met with their Engage Hubs to discuss possible cooperative synergies.
We look forward to working together to promote effective #scicomm and public engagement while supporting local knowledge and experience.
💡 An interesting thread by Joana Magalhães, scientific coordinator of the COALESCE project, who is currently attending the #ScienceSummit24 in Berlin where the future of EU Research is being discussed.

This past summer, we released a report on the #SciComm training and resource needs of five groups: researchers, communication officers, general journalists, staff from science museums and science centres, and those working in civil society organisations (CSOs). (1/4)
In terms of the training formats, all three of hybrid, online-only and in-person were considered valuable, but there was a preference for hybrid ones when it comes to long lasting courses, since they combine the ease to attend with the opportunity to work in person. (3/4)
Our thanks to everyone who contributed to this invaluable work by participating in the workshops we organised.
