TA working conditions are students’ learning conditions, and this includes earning a wage that can support us to live. Up until 2020, TAs earned a wage commensurate with the cost of living. This is the wage we agreed to when we decided to come to MSU. But our current wage is below what we need to survive. Graph of wages over time compared to the local cost of living. The line dips below 100% around 2022.
