I love Robert Picardo and I think itβs fucking embarrassing that internet reply guys are arguing with him that itβs even possible for Star Trek to be too progressive.
Infinite diversity in infinite combinations is quite literally one of the primary concepts in the entire franchise.
Iβm convinced that the same folks shitting bricks over diversity in Starfleet Academy would have shit bricks over all the other things that Star Trek has done in the past to push the envelope.
Star Trek has always been ahead of the curve. So if you feel like itβs leaving you behind with how progressive or inclusive it continues to be: maybe YOU are the problem. The rest of us continue to adore Star Trek for the possibilities it shows us.

Watched "the Orphan" (Walking with Dinosaurs) yesterday on Swedish television, with my 80 y old mom and was asked to relate to @KakapoJay that it was "very sweet, if a little sad at the end".
