Pine AI launched Pine Computer, a cloud computer, harness, and runtime layer built for agentic tasks.
On SaaS-Bench v1.1, Pine Computer has the highest checkpoint score in the publisher's table: 78.3%, against 74.3% for Opus 5 with Claude Code. It also completed fewer whole tasks: 27.4% against 31.1%.
The benchmark covers 106 multi-step tasks inside 23 business apps, and the checkpoint score counts the steps passed along the way.
Instead of simulating clicks and screenshots, Pine Computer can read web pages as structured data and report changes directly to the AI.
Access is through a private beta waitlist from @PineAIAssistant

Introducing Microsoft-Decision-1, our new model for fast decision-making.
It delivers top performance on structured decision tasks, outperforming both LLMs and other decision models in latency and quality.
We’re already testing it across Microsoft for everything from incident response and quality control to scientific discovery.

The true cost of ignoring AI?
Look at what happened to China during the Industrial Revolution.
In 1793, China was one of the world’s most powerful empires.
A British envoy named George Macartney arrived at the Qing court with ships full of British manufactured goods, including clocks and telescopes.
Emperor Qianlong sent him home.
In a letter to King George III, Qianlong wrote that China possessed everything in abundance and had no need for British manufactured goods.
It may sound arrogant today. But at the time, it seemed reasonable.
China had spent centuries optimizing for stability. It had an enormous population of farmers and a social order that worked.
Industrialization would have upended all of that. Farmers would have had to leave their land and work fixed shifts in factories. This would have caused a generation of friction.
Qianlong feared the disruption that could create. So he kept things as they were.
Britain kept building factories.
47 years later, a British iron steamship called Nemesis sailed into the Pearl River in southern China. It had been built with industrial processes in a shipyard near Liverpool. In a single day, it helped destroy 11 Chinese war junks.
What followed is what China still calls the “Century of Humiliation.” In 2016, Xi Jinping said China had "missed technological revolution time and again" causing the Century of Humiliation.
I believe we're living through the next one. The Cognitive Revolution is going to be a lot like the Industrial Revolution. Just much, much bigger and much faster.
It won’t be easy. People who were very good at their jobs will face massive disruption and many companies will spend money on things that don't work.
The pain of adoption is felt immediately. The cost of waiting shows up much later.
China had 47 years to discover the cost of waiting.
My intuition is that AI won't give any person, company or country that long.

Voyager has launched a desktop app that lets AI agents work inside creative tools like After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, and Unity on a Mac.
It reads project files, operates creative apps, and outputs editable results.
> Video edits, motion graphics, and color grading in the apps creators already use.
> 3D scenes in Blender and game prototypes in Unity.
> Built-in skills, custom skills, and a memory that learns how each user works.

Introducing Voyager: the open harness for S-tier video, graphics and games.
The Codex for creative work.
Most AI tools are built for coding. Voyager is designed to get the best creative results from models like Opus, Astra and DeepSeek.
It comes with free graphics, music and video editing tools - or, it can drive Blender, Resolve, After Effects, Ableton and 100+ others.

This is the most important thing a UK government has done for AI entrepreneurship in history.
Non-competes are gone, and next we'll be tackling irresponsible use of our garden-leave laws and non-solicits.
Dear @KanishkaNarayan and @andyburnham: Thank you for standing up for labour in our country.
I'm very proud to be 🇬🇧 today!
We want people to have the freedom to move to a better job and help our most promising businesses grow.
Today, the PM announced we will legislate against non-compete clauses, so they no longer hold back workers or stand in the way of startups hiring the talent they need.
We’ll also bring forward options to tackle wider restrictive practices, like excessive notice periods.
We have to empower the people taking risks to build something, giving them the freedom to start and scale.

GOOGLE 🔥: Gemini Argon 4, Gemini Flash 3.8, Claude Opus 5 and Claude Sonnet 5.5 will be available in the recently announced Gemini Agent for Gemini Business.
It is the first time when Claude models would appear on Gemini, along with Google’s models.
This should help Google to compete for enterprise customers as loads of them are moving to Claude and ChatGPT these days. In addition, it is the beginning of multi model future that we will start seeing more and more across the board.
