@btcnairobi_conf wrapped up a few weeks ago and @MyFirstBitcoin_ Education Network showed up. @RMurathime of @BitBiashara took the stage for the "Bitcoin in the Heart of Africa, Circular Economy Leads" panel, joining circular economy builders from across East Africa. @alfonce_ouma of @b_adversity joined the "Bitcoin and Media" panel, part of a conversation on how journalists and creators cover Bitcoin responsibly. @Angella_Jude was there representing @schoolOfSatoshi in the room for "Educating Bitcoin in Africa," where a simple audience poll on who would actually read the whitepaper landed on a takeaway worth sitting with: it still is not accessible to non-technical readers. Closing that gap is the whole reason community education exists. @MukunguFelix of @thecore21m was one of the conference's speakers to watch, bringing branding and design work into Nairobi's Bitcoin scene alongside his education work. And @BitcoinEkasi 's Hermann took on one of the harder questions in this space directly: are we building circular economies, or building charities that create dependency? Meanwhile, the @Bitbiasharakids brought their own kind of proof of work to the room, doing gymnastics through the circular economy conversations happening around them. This is the point of a network built on independent educators doing the work in their own communities, on their own terms.
