My new book, The Art Teacher is Weird, is now available on Amazon! For every weirdo in your life: amazon.com/dp/197443284X
I spent the first quarter of the year building an octopus sculpture out of cardboard. The last step was having the k-4th graders and any willing staff in the building color stickers to give it a unique skin. Now it hangs in the back of the room keeping an eye on the art room

We are having so much fun. Read #theARTteacherisWeird by @schmillustrator and had students draw what they thought the art teacher looked like!

On the day Lisa Grippa turned 16, @TheWho came to town. When she headed to Cincinnati’s Riverfront Coliseum on Dec. 3, 1979, w/ her ticket in hand — a bday gift — she had no idea 11 fellow concertgoers, some as young as 15, were about to die rollingstone.com/music/music…
The Shark is up! 900+ @ReadingCSD staff and students contributed thousands of little sticks to color this 6 foot beast hanging in the 5th grade ELA space. Thanks to everyone who took part and to our maintenance team for setting it up!

I get as many congratulatory texts from my friends when the @Lions win as I got when my kids were born
RIP Kivi
It’s with a very heavy heart that we share the news that goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks passed away last night at the age of 24.
We are heartbroken. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Rest in peace, Kivi.
