“Growing up, it was always God, family, and baseball. There were a lot of late nights practicing, a lot of traveling, and sometimes it was hard to get to church. But my parents helped me build a foundation on a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“I always had a testimony, but I hadn’t read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I believed what my parents told me. They’re really smart, and their testimonies are strong. Then I got drafted, and I thought, ‘All right, I probably need to read this for myself.’
“One of the guys I was drafted with shared my faith. We became roommates and studied the scriptures together. As I read, I received personal revelation. That’s when my testimony really became stronger. I could see Heavenly Father’s hand in putting someone like that in my life.
“Reading helped me strengthen my testimony, and living what I believed gave me more opportunities to recognize His hand.
“My mom had talked to me about tithing before I even had a job. She told me about the blessings she’d seen and encouraged me to pay it. So I did. As I’ve kept that commitment, I’ve learned that the blessings can be physical, too. For me, being able to play baseball at my best is a blessing I connect directly to paying my tithing.
“Playing at an elite level still has its ups and downs. After a good year, I had a rough year. Sometimes you’re asking Heavenly Father, ‘Please help me,’ and you forget how much He’s already helped. Looking back helped me recognize the opportunities and blessings He had already given me.
“That same commitment to living my faith carries into how I take care of myself. Living the Word of Wisdom is a choice I made early. I’ve never wanted to drink or smoke. In high school, I watched people try vaping, get addicted, and struggle to stop. I didn’t want to find myself in that situation, and I’m grateful I made that decision before I ever started playing professionally.
“So when we were celebrating with the team and there wasn’t any sparkling cider, I opened the fridge, saw some Fanta in glass bottles, and grabbed a couple. I didn’t even want to hold alcohol because I didn’t want to give the impression I was drinking it. Then everybody started sending me pictures of their Fanta.
“Reading the Book of Mormon, paying my tithing, and living the Word of Wisdom are commitments I carry with me. As I’ve lived them, the foundation my parents helped me build in the gospel of Jesus Christ has become stronger through my own experiences.
“Heavenly Father has really shown His hand in my life.”

Can we please, please, please stop making church feel like a place for people who have it together?
We need more people who don’t fit the mold. Who are struggling, who sin, who want to change, and who keep turning toward Christ.
Even if you feel stuck. Even if you’ve failed a hundred times. Even if you’re afraid you’ll never fully overcome it.
If there’s even a desire to turn toward Christ, come. Partake of the sacrament. Keep going.
And let’s be clear: this includes every single person reading this post.
The sacrament isn’t a reward for the righteous. It’s a reminder that none of us can do this without Christ.
Sports has gotten to a point where the middle class family can no longer take its family to a game.

It doesn’t matter how famous you are, how much money you make or what you do for a living.
You can be one of the most recognizable people in the world. You can have all the success, awards and accomplishments anyone could dream of.
But at the end of the day, there’s someone who doesn’t care about any of that.
Someone who looks at you like you’re their whole world. Who thinks you walk on water. Who just wants your time, your hugs and to know you’re there.
They don’t call you famous.
They don’t call you successful.
They just call you Dad. ❤️
And that’s the most important title any man will ever have.

🚨 WE ARE WATCHING AN EXTRAORDINARY PSYCHOLOGICAL BATTLE OVER PERCEPTION.
Turn on the media and you'd think EVERYTHING is dramatically worse under President Trump.
Then look at the numbers.
Compared with the same stage of Biden's presidency, the figures being circulated show:
INFLATION
🟦 Biden: +12.3%
🟥 Trump: +4.3%
GROCERIES
🟦 Biden: +15.8%
🟥 Trump: +3.3%
GAS
🟦 Biden: +69%
🟥 Trump: +12%
RENT
🟦 Biden: +7.7%
🟥 Trump: +4.5%
ELECTRICITY
🟦 Biden: +19.1%
🟥 Trump: +8.4%
NEW & USED CARS
🟦 Biden: +23.9%
🟥 Trump: −1.2%
That doesn't mean Americans aren't feeling real affordability pressure. They ARE.
But during Biden's term, I REMEMBER the media making it feel like everything was fine but the opposite was felt by Americans in the real world.
Today, it seems to be the opposite. People's conditions are improving but the perception is that life is worse.
That's exactly why you have to separate how people feel, what they're being told, and what the underlying data actually show.
We're heading toward the 2026 midterms.
QUESTION EVERYTHING. CHECK THE NUMBERS YOURSELF. 🇺🇸

So much love and respect for BYU @kalanifsitake @Pouha91 and the people of Provo.
From the minute we parked, it was “Welcome to Provo,” “Good luck today,” “Go Cats.” People offered us food and drinks from their tailgates. Inside the stadium, same thing even ice cream at 2nd quarter . And their crowd was electric
I sat in ADA seating with my father in law and he was wearing his Fifita #1 jersey. People constantly checked on him and treated him with nothing but respect, even when Arizona made a play. They probably thought i was his care giver, lol.
Made me think, this is what real competition should look like. Welcome people into your home, treat them with respect and grace, then when the ball is kicked off, try to knock each other’s heads off.
We hosted our first league games Sunday , six games from 9AM–7PM. I told our staff: make everyone feel welcome. If someone genuinely can’t pay at the door, let them in. Let them watch their kid.
If we want to change the culture at the high school and college level, it starts in youth .
And I don’t think it’s a coincidence faith is at the center of BYU’s culture. Jesus welcomed everyone to His table.
Compete hard. Cheer loud. Want to win BAD. But still love people.
Appreciate the love , Provo.

This is why the Clancy trial mattered. Two more kids dead, mom in cuffs, and the first ask is already “dismiss it.” Set the wrong precedent and every case after becomes a template, not a trial.
Defend the children, not the psycho moms.
