Sussex after a good summer a continuing concern
Paul Farbrace has informed Sussex Cricket of his decision to leave the Club at the end of October to join Lancashire Cricket Club as Director of Cricket.
Thank you for everything, Farby. 💙

A lot has changed in Prem in the last few years hasn’t it
Some big names remain. Some big names fallen a bit
Absolute heartbreak to see so many of my favourite clubs, all so humble and welcoming, having to slum it a bit right now
Which teams would you like to see in the Prem?
And the lows of the soon to be ditched playoffs…
We will all miss the jeopardy it brought to Sussex Cricket
Reflections on a 2026 that had some successes but didn't all go to plan for @PrestonNomads - by @bowmanontheroad - sussexexpress.co.uk/sport/cr…
The highs of the soon to be ditched playoffs….
Promotion celebrations begin for Chichester Priory Park cricketers trib.al/oHLHyn5
Luckily this doesn’t happen in Sussex thank god
It doesn’t and wouldn’t happen here
110 overs on a Saturday for the love of the badge
Not sure what can be done club cricket is being strangled
@DerbysCountyLge @NottsPrem
Ive no problem with a O/S ex Pro being paid to play the recreational game to help the other 9 or 10 BUT bang average local lads are demanding money to play the
Local Game IT HAS TO STOP
Nothing on the noise @paghamcc make
Problem is usually ends up at a disciplinary 🤣
Unfortunately, we at Pagham FC have received a complaint… about the noise levels coming from The Covers Arena.
And, quite frankly, we can only apologise.
You see, we’ve had a rather unusual amount of home games this season — 10 of our 15 fixtures have been played at home. This is, of course, entirely due to the recent and slightly inconvenient success of the team on the pitch.
As we kept winning, we progressed through cup competitions.
As we progressed through cup competitions, we had more home games.
As we kept winning those games, the crowds got bigger.
And as the crowds got bigger… apparently, so did the noise. 🤷♂️
We always ask both our fantastic locals and visiting supporters to respect our neighbours, and we genuinely appreciate everyone doing their bit.
So, to anyone who has been disturbed by the recent slightly enthusiastic celebrations, singing, shouting, cheering and general evidence that Pagham FC are actually having a decent season…
We are very, very sorry. 🙏
We certainly don’t want the success to stop — we’ve rather enjoyed it — but we will do our best to turn the volume down a notch or two.
Although, in our defence, it is considerably easier to keep 300 people quiet when you’re losing. 😉
Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support.
Up the Pagham! 🦁 ⚽️
*P.S. We make no guarantees regarding noise levels should we score a last-minute winner

More club cricket chat, why wouldn’t leagues have 3/4 weekends of T20 at the start of the season before the T20 blast to create a pathway. Young lad gets 100 in the Sussex league t20 final off about 30 balls, do that in May and you could get a chance to go from club to pro.
After a happy hibernation I’m looking to break out
I’ve obviously been asleep so I’m blissfully unaware of the major Sussex cricket news
Feel free to let me know
Did have a quick look on the IPhone 6, who did @EastGrinsteadCC merge with, can’t see them in Prem?

Looks like the Div 2 playoff debacle carries on despite seemingly only one down from the Prem?
One up, three down? Make it make sense
Two of the most picturesque grounds in Sussex at @Glynde_Cricket and @steyningcc now host Div 2 cricket well done both
With @Ifieldcc up, congrats by way, are there any crap grounds in that league now?

It’s been a complete and utter pleasure badge, even if you retweeted one of my tweets and got me a ban. It was worth it. Much love.
It’s the end of road. We are culling ourselves, going out either at top, or bottom, you decide 🤣
Have a read if you like, if not then thank you for following us, we’ve had a good laugh and it’s been a lot of fun, most of the time. No offence really meant to anyone
Badge out 🔫

Hi @Ifieldcc
Good win Sat! It looks like you borrowed our player, who told us not available, then opened your batting?
He plays for our 3s in Div 8. Don’t think we approved?
Oh then in pic cleverly don’t show his face. We’ll keep this between us don’t worry! #snoozeyalose
