Today, the Nairobi Linda Mwananchi team accompanied H.E Edwin Sifuna for a Sunday service at the Jesus Teaching Ministry (JTM) Church in Donholm.
The sermon by Apostle Peter Manyuru on restoration was particularly uplifting. It spoke to the journey of some of our leaders who have lost positions and privileges, yet continue to grow in political stature, and gain even greater support among Kenyans.
In his address, H.E Sifuna thanked Apostle Manyuru for his prayers and spiritual guidance during a difficult period of political persecution.
He condemned the return of old tactics by the state to intimidate dissenting voices, citing the withdrawal of official police protection from Governors James Orengo and George Natembeya.
He also called out ODM leaders in the broadbased government over their attacks and insults against Mama Ida Odinga and her children. Responding to their claims that loyalty to Baba cannot be transferred to his family, Sifuna reminded them that, at the very minimum, they owe the family of his mentor Raila Odinga respect.
H.E Sifuna also expressed confidence in his presidential bid in 2027, dismissing claims that he is too young and inexperienced to lead. He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the rule of law and returning Kenya to the path of constitutionalism, expressing confidence that Kenyans will rally behind him and the opposition to deliver victory next year.
