“You can say, oh Jews were always debating about Zionism. That was a fun thing to debate in 1920, when it was a fun hypothetical. It’s a really different thing to debate in 2026 when there is a country which is where half the world’s Jews live.” “Jews who are antizionist are coming from a position of almost unfathomable privilege.” Watch Dara Horn speak with @coldxman youtube.com/watch?v=JnvJh9Ds…

Will the Green Party have serious power, even win a general election? Probably not. But have they just shifted the Overton Window, making it that bit more acceptable for political parties and the general public to be openly antisemitic? Absolutely yes

Today the Green Party of England and Wales became the first major political party in Britain to formally declare that Zionism is racism. By a vote of 1,022 to 813 it passed a motion that also called for the abolition of the state of Israel and the establishment of a “single democratic Palestinian state in all of historic Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital”. I have covered this fight before and I know how it ends, because we've been here already. It harkens back to one of the most disgraceful chapters in the United Nation's long history of anti-Israel bias. On November 10, 1975, the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 3379, declaring Zionism "a form of racism and racial discrimination." It was sponsored by the Arab League and the Soviet bloc, pushed through at the height of Cold War maneuvering to isolate Israel diplomatically. US Ambassador Daniel Patrick Moynihan called it what it was: "The Big Red Lie." It stood as the official position of the United Nations for sixteen years — a stain that told the world's Jews their claim to a homeland was, by international law, bigotry. It took sixteen years, and the collapse of the Soviet Union, to undo it. In September 1991, President George H.W. Bush went to the UN General Assembly and announced the United States would lead the fight to repeal it. Secretary of State James Baker worked it. Moynihan pushed it. Israel made the repeal a precondition of its own participation in the Madrid peace talks. On December 16, 1991, the resolution was revoked, 111 to 25. That was supposed to be the end of it. The world looked at the "Zionism is racism" formula, measured it against a genuine definition of racism and rejected it by a margin of more than four to one. Today a British political party, not some tiny fringe activist group, revived it. The Greens are party with five MPs and mayors in two London boroughs, led by a Jewish leader, Zack Polanski, who tried and failed to soften the motion before his own members voted it through anyway. Calling Zionism racism doesn't just indict a government's policies, which is fair game and happens every day in free societies. It indicts the idea that Jews, alone among peoples, have no legitimate claim to self-determination. It took the world sixteen years to climb out of this hole once. Now a party in the country that gave the world the Balfour Declaration has climbed back in.

As a former CBC reporter, I am appalled at this ludicrous decision. He wasn’t working. He posted a POV video experience entering the space his synagogue had rented for Yom Kippur. Neil is a veteran reporter and a friend.
I don’t understand why this CBC journalist is facing disciplinary action. He describes facing threats while attending a synagogue service and provides context with rise of antisemitism, terror attack and guest speaker. Thread is accurate. What’s the issue? xitter.cf/NEWSneil/status/210220…

I'm a journalist. And I happen to be Jewish. On Yom Kippur I went to a synagogue service in Toronto and was met by protesters trying to taunt and intimidate me from entering the building. 1/5

"Antisemitism is a lie that people use to gain or maintain power. And the lie is always the same: Jews are destroying what you value most." @DaraHorn joined @coldxman at the 92nd Street Y to discuss her new book, ‘The Final Solution to the Jewish Question,’ and why she thinks Jew-hatred has less to do with hate than with power.

For Gaza to Recover, Hamas Must Be Expelled Hamas should have no role in Gaza’s future but, appallingly, so many in the West who consider themselves allies of the Palestinian people still see the brutal gangster group as honorable resistance fighters. Their support for, or failure to denounce, the group only helps perpetuate the degradation of Gaza and the myth that Israel can be eliminated. Yet peace is possible. But only for a peaceful Palestinian republic nxt to the Israeli one nytimes.com/2026/09/04/opini… via @NYTOpinion

~ It wasn’t an “Arab country.” It was an Ottoman province with mixed populations. ~ Jews weren’t aliens. They’d lived there continuously for millennia. ~ Early Zionists didn’t expel anyone. They bought land legally, often from Arab and Turkish absentee landlords. ~ The actual displacements happened during wars that Arab leaders initiated to stop partition and prevent a Jewish state. The conflict wasn’t created by Jews arriving — it was created by rejecting their right to be there at all.
