Their definition of “drag” is anyone dressing opposite of their assigned gender at birth. That’s every trans person, and anyone gender-nonconforming.
This bill isn’t just about drag. It’s about erasing queer people from public visibility.
Arkansas senators have voted to pass a bill that classifies drag-related events as “adult-oriented businesses,” which will outlaw performances on public property or “where a minor can view” them.
It now heads to the majority-Republican state House.

The same language as the Arkansas bill. But goes even further, requiring drag queens to register as sex-offenders for being in the presence of a minor.
Hate begets hate, and as bills like this get passed, more will follow. Being queer should not be a criminal offense.
