A guy almost no one had ever heard of a year ago and who was overlooked throughout the recruiting process to being a projected top-5 NFL Draft pick, 19-year old LaNorris Sellers may be the best story in college football right now:

South Carolina capped off the regular season with a thrilling 17-14 win over in state rival Clemson. LaNorris Sellers rushed for 166 yards and 2 TD’s along with 164 yards passing!

Ran into former Gamecock student body president Luke Rankin and his family in the London Underground! After griping about the CFP snub we agreed that we are the most beloved U.S. university in London. Anyone can challenge that, but the voting is over! Happy Holidays to all.

These comments from 8 hrs ago seem very timely now …. 🤷🏻♂️🤙🏻
"If I saw the South Carolina Gamecocks pop up on the bracket as my first-round matchup, I wouldn't be happy with the way we're playing right now."
@CoachSBeamer on why @GamecockFB should be in the CFB Playoff 🤙

All season long, it’s mattered who you beat and where you beat them.
Until now, because the CFP committee put a “statute of limitations” on @GamecockFB win AT Clemson 1 week ago.
Suddenly, it doesn’t matter anymore only because SC isn’t playing today?
Ridiculous.

My eye test still tells me South Carolina is highly capable of beating any team I watched today.

I have a hard time looking at South Carolina’s SOS, SOR and Top-25 wins compared to several other teams ranked ahead of them and playing in the #CFP. What stands out to you?

The human element. It is the human element that cost South Carolina dearly against LSU. Ironically, it is also the human element that could put the Gamecocks in the field of 12 today. I haven't seen any national analysts who think South Carolina isn't one of the 12 best teams in the country. If that's the point of this playoff, to get the 12 best in, then the Gamecocks should be in. The context. The common sense. It's the entire reason there's a committee. Otherwise, just throw the numbers in a computer and have it tell us the bracket.
