This past week was about remembering the lives behind the uniform and standing with the families who continue to carry their loss.
At the 4th Annual New York Blue R.O.S.E. Suicide Mass, members of the NYPD came together with families to honor officers lost to suicide — remembering them for how they lived, not how they died.
That same spirit of remembrance continued on Staten Island, where Police Officer Colin Patrick Rossiter was honored with the co-naming of Police Officer Colin Patrick Rossiter Way. Colin’s father, retired NYPD Sergeant Keith Rossiter, joined family, friends and members of the Department in keeping his memory and legacy alive.
To every family affected by these losses, you remain part of our police family and you are not forgotten.
