Fantastic to see Sunny Cycles thriving after the situation the people were in. To raise concerns about the charity to the regulator, then for the charity regulator to not do anything about it, even though they found that "directors were not fulfilling their duties as directors",
Many groups &families now do not use the cycling centre, it lies unused. The White House in Maryhill lies empty &unused. These facilities should be removed from current lease holder &be given to community groups who can make them the thriving community hub they can and should be.

We are campaigning for directors to be held to account for their wrongdoing, it shouldn't just be swept under the carpet & for them to get away with serious mismanagement and not fulfilling their duties as directors.

After over a year of concerns being raised about Free Wheel North, OSCR finally published their report. And have decided that although they found wrong doing within the charity, they are not going to take action, just going to brush it under the carpet. Here is the SOCC response

Up in arms indeed!
We need beautiful public spaces like the Kibble Palace to stay free for people to come together, enjoy nature, and build community 💚.

Sun 7th May at @freewheel_north on Glasgow Green. The situation still not resolved. The charity is still under investigation by charity regulator &numerous concerns being raised.Unsafe bikes, PVG checks not being done properly, finances done "on the back of an envelope".

Director said he doesn't understand the governing document for the charity.Said he was paying staff from his own pocket &they should think of him every time they eat dinner.
Ride with @kidicalmassglas & @P4F_Scotland from Glasgow Green same day, details of the ride will follow.
