We’ve created a new website (that better reflects the work we are doing as a conservation group) & it’s now live.
It’s a work in progress, but we‘d appreciate any feedback you have please - what do you think to the layout & pages; content ok? Thank you.

91 days until our National Day on 24th May for
#TeamBat #TeamNewt
Today we wondered if anyone can share songs about how nature is at risk from too much construction in the wrong place and designed the wrong way.
The most famous are probably lyrics by @jonimitchell "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot".
Written in 1970, 55 years later we sadly don't seem to have learnt our lesson.

Why don't you adopt the Team Bat Team Newt logo as your profile icon to show you care about nature.
We've done it for today!
You can buy T-shirts, caps and badges with the logo at this link (obviously non-profit).

100 days until #TeamBat #TeamNewt National Day 24th May.
We're starting by asking you all what action you might take from now, and on the day. Could you host a nature walk? Write a song? Have an art competition? One suggestion is to make a kite.
Some ground rules: any action must be non disruptive and not obstruct the general public.
Wear a t-shirt, cap and badge (sale is non-profit).

Well, that happy news didn't last long! Unfortunately today Wivenhoe Town Council have failed to meet the agreed terms negotiated just three days ago. Most concerning, they are looking to net the tree. We believe this to be a probable wildlife crime and will be reporting it. (1/)
We’ve had a busy day planting 250 hawthorn whips on a hedgerow boundary near the ‘white house’.
In a few years, we hope theyll go towards supporting our local population of yellowhammers. 💚

I know which I'm on.
A particularly big thank you and shout out to William Warhurst who is leading the raptor monitoring project. 💚
So pleased this has taken off (no pun intended). Thanks to @save_our_fields & @HeritageFundUK we are able to support the younger generation to embrace their passion for wildlife & nature, safeguarding it for future generations. Keep at it @SorbyBreckRG
