Codex's web version failed to use it's container this morning, and instead figured out it could just use github actions to achieve basically the same thing - pretty cool

my ideal coffee roaster would have a website that's just an excel sheet with a buy button next to each item Specialty coffee screams for data dense UIs and yet we get photos of the plastic bag it comes in

this one's already so much better, but why not commit at this point?? give me a sheet with the data, show me a map, give me an altitude graph I want an investigative explorer to zoom in on the coffee I want to try

This guy is a f*cking animal. Adam's been on fire for like 7 years now.
Owner has raised $240M, reached a $2.3B valuation, and crossed $100M ARR. Goldman Sachs Alternatives led the round, joined by Meritech, Redpoint, Headline, & Jack Altman. The world is racing to build AI to replace people’s jobs. Owner is building AI to do the opposite:

Something interesting I've noticed is how consistently when reviewing generated code that the comments are way worse than in quality than the actual code. Dont know if just personal preference, but have noticed repeatedly bad comments (not to mention PR descriptions @claudeai)

We're all excited about forward deployed engineers, but we really shouldn't forget that you dont just get a good product by hiring FDEs. It might even make it harder to create to product driven value for your customers.

We should build native apps again now that agents can enable small (and big) teams to make it happen. Slack but as a native app would be an absolute dream. Things could be so snappy.

I took me a while to understand how amazing @OpenRouter is but what a fantastic platform Great to experiment, try basically all models there are, without having to implement every single API there is out there

One (of many) great things of LLMs is that good devx becomes really achievable. Have built quite a things now that use reflections in Go to reduce verbosity and better devx, something that would taken quite a while before. You can end up with less code when using LLMs!

example: define LLM tool call args in a struct rather than piecing together json schemas. There's existing libraries, but didnt like any of them. So I just generated my own. No extra deps, no extra baggage beyond what I need, and what I do need in the way I like it.

I need to read more man pages. Every time I do it it's great. Just briefly read the one for htop. Turns out it has some awesome features, like by going on a process and hitting s just strace that process. Or showing all open files of a process by just hitting lowercase L
