Surgery is only 1 part of a patient’s journey. If you don’t engage medical professionals and map support required before and after surgery (pathology being ONE of those) the patient care/outcome will not improve. What are the chances the additional funding is for that support?

Friday the federal has announced $2B in new funding for the provinces to to catch up on surgeries delayed during Covid. SK will get $62M of this. Here’s the thing: The @SKGov budget last week only increased surgical funding by $22M. #skpoli. Here’s the info:

Well, just lost another doc in pathology due to inadequate autism services for their child. I told @SKGov Minister of Health, Paul Merriman, today at the @SMA_docs representative assembly. I doubt pathologists corner the market on wanting quality resources for their children.
