On feeling safe in clinic:
When a provider takes time to say "I hear you" that helps me feel safe and validated.
It's important to listen, and to show that you are listening. Body language matters.
Weight is important, but try to make it less of the focus.

Normalize talking w/ patients about body image/eating behaviors in context of IBD. Consider verbal & body language impact - aim for neutrality. Honor differences - ask patients how/if they want to discuss these topics. Respond accordingly.
