Here's how I categorize stuff in my head.
Evolved = Very Souls but with major mechanic changes
Souls-likes = Games very similar to souls, try to capture the feel
Fusions = Lots of souls influence but mixed with other genres
Inspired = Inspired by souls but their own thing
Since I'm sick and got nothing to do let's kick off this year with some discourse and a lengthy thread explaining why #Sekiro is not a #Soulslike
