Theyre literally burning and looting and Ro thinks this is the model for the US. We tried defunding the police. We cant afford more of this radical chaos in our country.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in.
In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes.
In Spain, for affordable rent and housing.
In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption.
@JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south.
He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment.
The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few.
This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future.
In America, let us listen to our young.
We need an economic and political transformation.

Chief McDonnell, my friend and colleague for over 40 years, including the seven years we worked closely together at the LAPD, has been in the face of significant adversity and hostility from the Progressive Left. He has been doing an outstanding job leading the much reduced in size LAPD as it has faced continuous crises over the last several years. Replacing him before the end of his term would create additional crises of monumental proportions.
It is heavily rumored that mayoral candidate Nithya Raman’s choice to replace McDonnell would be the recently defeated progressive left LA District Attorney George Gascon.

It is no surprise to any engaged Jew in America that we are living through the most anti-Jewish period we have had in this country for almost a hundred years.

Three years ago I told my non-Jewish friends they could sit this one out. I take it back. 3 years later, I’m afraid I have a different message for you.
I wrote an open letter about what being Jewish has felt like since October 7, and I need you to hear it from me.
We cannot afford Nithya Raman as mayor. Listen to those who have suffered under her as their Councilmember.

This video is absolutely true in CD4. I live in her district. Raman ignores her constituents. A failure in many additional ways as well.

I am a business owner in her district. I concur 100%. She is most ineffective council person I’ve dealt with in LA.

ah yes, exactly what we need, a mayoral candidate who blacks out when she gets stressed. that'll go really well

The only person standing in the way of a DSA takeover of LA is Karen Bass. I’ve never voted for her, & have criticized her plenty. But preventing LA from getting worse matters. Whatever my disagreements with Bass, she still recognizes the practical realities of governing.

This election is a consequential choice for Los Angeles. My opponent has lived here for 13 years, delivered very little, and consistently voted against supporting police officers and removing encampments in front of schools.
Her record matters. Putting our city’s future in her hands is a serious risk.

Nithya Raman called Los Angeles and our police department 'fascist.' This is how she talks about our city and the public servants protecting our streets. Angelenos will not be more safe under her watch.
