Everyone talks about the wisdom of the crowd. I want to see what happens when five different crowds start with the same rules. That's what caught my eye about @TheMutualFun. Each NFT seat is randomly assigned to one of five funds. Once you activate it, you can vote each week on how your fund invests. I'm curious how far apart their results will end up. Every 13 weeks, members also vote on whether their fund should keep going. Under the published rules, the annual vote defaults to closing. To stay open, at least 25% of the fund's voting power must participate, and "continue" must receive more voting weight than "close". Otherwise, the remaining assets are distributed to activated seats according to their weight. A fund could make money and still close because too few members bothered to vote. I'll be watching who invests well and who still wants to manage money together a year later.
