Interesting info that shows the history of gas prices and the 2022 spike that was magically eased with draining of the strategic reserves.

Rand Paul reveals Washington spent $4,600,000 of YOUR money to find out whether getting drunk makes you FALL DOWN.
Another $3,000,000 went to studying whether eating ants fights global warming.
$7,000,000 on a “smart toilet” that photographs your backside.
And $2,000,000 to learn if hot tubs help you relax.
Rand Paul kept the receipts. It gets dumber:
• NIH spent $1,000,000 to help people get over their fear of the dentist.
• USAID spent $48,000,000 to help disconnected Tunisian youth cope with modern society.
• NIH spent $36,000,000 to find out why stress turns hair gray.
• Washington even sent money to Central America to train people on how to apply for U.S. grants. Yes, really. We paid them to get better at taking our money.
Not one American with an ounce of common sense would vote to approve a dime of this garbage.
The government pisses away billions like this and never stops asking for MORE.

Microsoft laid off 6,000 Americans, certified it couldn’t find qualified Americans, then got 6,000 H-1Bs and filed nearly 1,000 PERMs for the same jobs.
For decades, companies sold the American Dream to everyone except Americans. They swore the nation that built the modern world somehow could not staff its own offices, then used visas and green-card filings to replace the workers who built it. Fraud dressed up as global competitiveness.
Greed dressed up as necessity
.@VP: "There has been no company in the United States, unfortunately, that has abused this system more than Microsoft."
Microsoft laid off 6,000 American workers in 2025 after certifying that it could not find qualified American employees — yet the company was approved for more than 6,000 H-1Bs and filed 3,682 PERM applications, including nearly 1,000 applications for the same positions as the laid off American workers.

Those stacks are not xAI. WREG used a generic industrial photo on a story about Memphis City Council voting today on a one-year pause for new data centers.
The picture shows a conventional plant: tall rectangular exhaust stacks, a row of white cylindrical tanks, and thick white plumes. An Amazon truck is sitting in the parking lot in the foreground. That is the look of cooling-tower or heat-recovery steam (water vapor), not the xAI setup in South Memphis or Southaven.
xAI’s power equipment does not look like that.
I HATE LIBERALS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF DERANGED PEOPLE
• At Colossus 1 (the old Electrolux plant on Paul R. Lowry Road), the company used temporary natural-gas turbines. Those have largely been removed. A Shelby County permit covers up to about 15 permanent turbines, meant eventually as backup only.
• Colossus 2 is fed from a site across the state line at about 2875 Stanton Road in Southaven. Those are trailer-mounted Solar gas turbines (SMT-130 and similar), long flatbed units with short exhausts, not tall smokestacks. Counts reported this year ran from the mid-30s into the 60s of temporary units. Mississippi permitted a permanent plant of 41 turbines (about 1.2 GW) in March 2026, with an agreement to phase out the temporary ones by mid-2027.
Gas-turbine exhaust is mostly invisible. The white clouds in that WREG photo are steam. The council item itself is a proposed one-year hold on new data-center permits, plus new rules on energy and water use, aimed at the local xAI/SpaceXAI buildout and any projects that follow it.

Also, let’s not forget the only time Gavin Newsom bothered to clean up San Francisco was when Xi visited.

🚨 Our race is in play!
Minnesotans are fed up with billions in taxpayer dollars being stolen while the people in charge refuse to take responsibility.
Peggy Flanagan is the sitting lieutenant governor while criminals were stealing billions from Minnesota taxpayers.
She doesn’t get to walk away from that record.
Minnesotans deserve accountability. They deserve leadership. And they deserve better.
This race is wide open. Let’s win it!
