There are men who have been reciting lines and scenarios from episodes of Seinfeld for like thirty years now.

Rare for a team to lead for like 90 percent of the minutes in a series and still deserve to lose
Magic let the clock run out in a tie game in Game 2 of the 1984 Finals and turned the ball over late in Game 4…famously! He could have just left himself out of it. @BillSimmons
Magic Johnson on De’Aaron Fox:
“He should’ve pulled the ball back out… I think that play really hurt the Spurs. Wemby’s two free throws he missed hurt the spurs. De’Aaron is a point guard, you gotta know every situation. My job as a point guard was to know every situation.”

'Workers' perception of the labor market' is a dubious construct, esp in analyzing short-term trends. Identifying general perceptual conditions ("doomerism") is risky, riskier when folded without reflection (systematically) into chains of supposition underpinning analysis.

1/6. At age 86, P. V. Chinnathambi still runs a unique library in the hilly forests of Idukki in Kerala. He has run that library – 2,000 books, all classics – for 15 years now. The books are borrowed, read and returned by poor Muthuvan Adivasis. All this in Edamalakudi, Kerala’s only tribal panchayat and perhaps its – relatively speaking – lowest literacy spot and least educated region. PARI story link ruralindiaonline.org/article…

I have been hiring more, not fewer research assistants for data analysis. And I’m making them use Claude code. Also, all of my most interesting projects where I need research assistance are also the ones where real people need to go to real things in the world. These things are complements rather than substitute.

It’s just about correspondence. Powerful societies are necessary to have effective public discourse. Print or not, what we have that causes this reaction (which is not necessarily the case) is the result of treating societies as immaterial
Domestic politics too. This doesn’t mean you have to vomit across a full exposition of your issue area in each utterance; you just have to communicate naturally with this premise in mind.
What tech people/skeptics auditing the government should look like.
Do any political strategists map the “equivalence space” in detail? Because laypeople could use a guide
You could get an “output” in terms of synthetic message in a couple of minutes from the right person that is as valuable as an average think tank report. This just means that intelligence is intelligence.
I'm with Tyler, this is really good. I used Deep Research on two queries; each gave an output in a couple minutes that was at least as useful as an average think tank report on the subject (but no new insights FWIW mostly summarizing current debates and reported facts. Some errors of course but also packed full of cited facts, decently well written.
