No dry eyes in our household! JET SWEEP JOE for the win! For those who don’t know, on February 10, 2022, we lost @TrawitzkiJoe far too young to a vicious cancer. Later that same afternoon, we had a colt foal out of our stakes winning mare Sister Blues. We always sell colts that we breed and keep the fillies to race, but that wasn’t going to happen - Joe was already looking over us. We decided then that we were keeping this boy to race and we were sending him to Big Joe’s trainer @mcenteeracing . Paul McEntee has done a masterful job with JET SWEEP JOE and if you want a small glimpse of the fight and effort that Big Joe gave everyday of his life, watch the battle down the stretch.

It’s officially official. Our broodmare Ready to Unleash has TWO babies competing in the @BreedersCup World Championships! We are so very happy for the connections of JOE SHIESTY and BRICKYARD BELLE - a huge congratulations to them! A lot of excitement in our house with the World Series in Milwaukee and the Breeders Cup in 10 days! Bring on Monday’s post draw! #BreedersCup #Spendthrift #Yaupon

"Surreal" is exactly the word and thankfully we still own our mare 😂 Very excited for BRICKYARD BELLE and JOE SHIESTY, both out of our favorite broodmare Ready to Unleash. Also very excited that we have Ready to Unleash back in foal to Omaha Beach and due in January! 🐎

Had an awesome time recording this with these guys last night, talking about Ready to Unleash, Joe Shiesty, Brickyard Belle and other horse racing topics. It’s a fun podcast and I encourage you to subscribe (it’s free) - I can assure you the episodes can only get better from here! #horseracing #breederscup

Still cannot believe what unfolded on Saturday within a 45 minute period. Huge congratulations again to the owners and trainers of these amazing horses and major thanks to @scarteenstud for taking such good care of our broodmares and babies!

When @Brewers playoff baseball and @keenelandracing land on the same Sunday, you don't choose - you bring a TV! Tailgate HQ at @AmFamField, Keeneland simulcast in the back of the truck, and JET SWEEP JOE on the big screen before first pitch. Bourbon poured. Tote board up. Win The Day. 🏆 #ThisIsMyCrew #Brewers #Keeneland #JetSweepJoe #HallStables #WinTheDay #Postseason

I actually turned AI loose on this - it’s apparently happened only one time before. From @BloodHorse, on 10/5/24, two foals of the mare Truly Together, Mouffy and Truly Quality, each won graded stakes at @WoodbineTB. Mouffy took the Dance Smartly (G2T), and Truly Quality won the Singspiel Stakes (G3) the same afternoon. Add Ready to Unleash to that elite company!

When Joe Trawitzki and I got into racing, we decided (over many bourbons) to focus on homebreds and turf. A year after Joe passed away, @HallStables bought READY TO UNLEASH online at @keenelandsales for $8,000 and booked her a date with @spendthriftfarm’s YAUPON. Today that foal, BRICKYARD BELLE, won the Matron Stakes at @BelmontPark1905, our first Graded Stakes winner as breeders. 🏆 An hour later, big brother JOE SHIESTY won the Woodford at @keenelandracing to remind everyone he's still the fastest in the family. Our "bargain" mare now has TWO Breeders' Cup hopefuls and is back in foal to OMAHA BEACH. Huge congrats to both connections! 2 for 2 today. I'd like to think God and Big Joe were up there smiling together. If so, I wouldn't bet against the @Brewers today. ⚾

Big Saturday ahead for our broodmare Ready to Unleash! 🐎 Two of her babies are racing in graded stakes on Saturday and both are morning-line favorites. Best of luck to all of the connections of JOE SHIESTY and BRICKYARD BELLE! For a small operation like @HallStables this feels like impossible odds. We bought Ready to Unleash for $8,000 at auction and to see a very reasonably priced mare produce two graded-stakes caliber horses with even bigger dreams ahead is truly fantastic!

From a wobbly foal to a “TDN Rising Star” at Saratoga in two short years. 🌟@HallStables first “Rising Star” as breeders! We couldn’t be more proud of BRICKYARD BELLE. She made her debut one to remember. Watching a horse go from a wobbly-legged baby out of our $8,500 broodmare named READY TO UNLEASH that we bought @keenelandsales to a @theTDN Rising Star on one of racing’s biggest stage is everything this game is about. Congratulations to her connections! @spendthriftfarm #TDNRisingStar #Saratoga #Yaupon

A hard fought win and a brilliant ride by @EJWilson81 ! Thank you again! #AmericanPope #HallStables

A year late for the Knicks, but the day after the Knicks clinch with the Villanova crew, a 2 year old racehorse named American Pope breaks his maiden - we should probably all get to church… #Knicks #AmericanPope #PopeLeo
