“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah. Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah. Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah. "The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him. Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.
To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.

Any other country would have been completely sanctioned and embargoed at this point
🇮🇱 Trita Parsi: “In a stunning piece published by the head of one of Israel’s most prominent think tanks, Maj. Gen. Tamir Hayman describes the reality of Israel’s new security doctrine: 👉open.substack.com/pub/tritap… “1. The United States is a “declining power” and, given its ongoing social and political shifts, will soon abandon Israel in any event. This is compelling Israel to move toward greater self-reliance in order to avoid “excessive dependence” on the US since it “exposes Israel to the influence of a progressive American value system that is incompatible with Israel’s Jewish character.”  Then he concludes: “Severing ties with the United States is therefore not only inevitable, but essential to Israel’s independence and the resilience of its Jewish national identity.” 2. Primacy of Jewish Identity over Democracy: The state’s Jewish identity takes precedence over its democratic system of government.  3. Peace agreements are merely technical and temporary arrangements requiring constant reassessment. According to this view, peace is not an intrinsic value that generates security, but a means of achieving other policy objectives. 4. “Rejection of the Independent Existence of Arab States: The underlying premise is that most Arab states are not genuine nation-states, but collections of tribes and ethnic groups lacking a shared history and a foundational national vision. Consequently, undermining their stability is viewed as a natural process, one that Israel can manage more effectively than it can contend with strong nation-states, and one that it should even encourage.” 5. “War as a Foundational State: War is essential to national security and cannot be replaced by a state of peace, which, as noted, is merely a means rather than an end.... War is necessary, and preventive war is preferable because it secures a significant achievement at the outset.” 6. “Absolute Priority for Initiative and Offense over Defense: Preemptive, surprise strikes are viewed as the only way to achieve victory, giving offense precedence over defense.” And there’s more.  Important to note that Hayman does not advocate for this. Rather, he contends that this already is the new security doctrine of Israel.” 👉inss.org.il/publication/new-… via @tparsi

At this point there have to be thousands of admissions by Israelis engaged in the genocide if their heinous war crimes. And yet you would never know that if you watched or read any MSM.
⭕️ Israeli reservist tells Der Spiegel his unit killed Palestinians who approached hidden positions, then logged them as terrorists The soldier, who spent about 250 days in Gaza, described a procedure his unit often used called “Alman Kasch,” in which troops take up concealed positions in areas that have not been evacuated and open fire on anyone who comes near. “If Palestinians, who do not know that our soldiers are there, approach, they are shelled. Usually other people come along who want to help, they are also shot at. Within a few minutes, five, six or seven people are killed. The protocol says: seven terrorists eliminated. But no, it’s just seven people who crossed an intersection. Important: We do not kill, we eliminate. That’s how we’ve always phrased it.” He said his brigade killed 160 to 170 people during more than 80 days in the Netzarim corridor, where “there were no fighting, no attacks by Hamas.” “Only one man was suspected to carry a gun. No one saw the gun, it was night, and he had something with him that could have been interpreted as a weapon. He was killed about 500 meters north of the corridor, so he was not a direct danger, and we never examined his body. But not only him, but all these dead were reported as terrorists.” The soldier is one of ten who gave testimony to Der Spiegel.

Those who support Palestinian fight for freedom should absolutely pressure the mayor to meet these demands, including protest. And while I can understand the impetus for the chants charging him with genocide,…
Replying to @palyouthmvmt
We call on the mayor to: 1. Shut down all illegal sales of stolen Palestinian land in New York City 2. Use every means available to him to prevent military cargo shipments to Israel from JFK airport 3. Dismantle NYPD's Strategic Response Group and fire Jessica

truthfully, I do not think it serves us to collapse anyone who doesn’t immediately respond to that pressure into the same category that includes the likes of Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Doing so erodes the meaning and power of the word, which we cannot afford to lose.

That being said. Let’s all keep on pushing him

It is astonishing how people will deny these heinous acts with this much evidence out there.
In May 1948, Egypt caught two Israeli soldiers near the wells of Gaza and accused Israel of trying to poison its water. At the UN, Israel's representative called the charge medieval anti-Semitic incitement. Israel called it a "wicked libel." In 2022, the Israeli historians Benny Morris and Benjamin Z. Kedar published the IDF's own documents. The operation was real. It had a code name: Cast Thy Bread. I served in Israel's Foreign Ministry and was an analyst in Unit 8200. I never heard of this operation until Haaretz published the files. This video walks through what they show: Ben-Gurion's diary, Yigael Yadin's orders, the wells near Jerusalem, the typhoid outbreak in Acre, the Gaza mission, the denial at the UN Security Council, and the officers who objected. Israel has never acknowledged Cast Thy Bread. It has never taken back the words "wicked libel." This video is part of what will be an ongoing series on Israeli lies and crimes. All the threads are linked in my pinned post on X.

I don’t miss the old days of the NYC subway when you had no actual way on knowing when the next train is coming. But it sure as hell built character.

This story is insane. The Palestinian Bedouin Israeli Yusef Alziadna is widely regarded as a hero in Israel after having saved 30 lives on Oct. 7. Today, in recognition of his bravery, Israeli security forces arrived at his home with bulldozers & demolished the foundations of his family's home. They also demolished his storage shed & a chicken coop & damaged the area used by his brother’s flock of sheep. It's not just his own property -- it's the whole neighborhood Israel wants to destroy. 65 demolition orders hang over the homes in the neighborhood. Just a week ago, his nephew got married; shortly before the wedding, he, too, had received a demolition order for his home. When the bulldozers arrived, it turned out that the newlywed had already demolished his own home to avoid a forced demolition. There is 1 and only 1 reason Israel is trying to wipe Yusef's neighborhood off the map: Yusef and his family have P-positive DNA. They are Palestinian Arab Bedouin, not Jewish. But Israel is a state for people with J-positive DNA. Jews. That means Israel will do whatever it can to push Yusef, his family and community off their land, because they have the wrong DNA. Rahat itself was constructed decades ago to force Bedouins off their ancestral lands in the Naqb, into settled communities where they would have no access to land where they could tend to their flocks of goat, sheep, animals, etc. Today, Yosef was scheduled to give an interview on Reshet Bet and recount once again how he saved... ...many on October 7th. He cancelled the interview. Instead of coming to the studio, he invites people to come to him and see what the bulldozers did in his neighborhood today. mekomit.co.il/%D7%A9%D7%9C%D…
Yosef Alziadna was one of the great heroes of October 7th. That morning he was asleep in bed when a friend called him to help. Alziadna drove past Be'eri under fire, reached the party grounds and packed 30 people into his 14-seat minibus. Today, the State of Israel destroyed his storage shed and chicken coop, tore out what was left of his nephew's house (the nephew had already knocked it down himself to avoid a forced demolition), and damaged land. This is how Israel treats its Palestinian citizens. No matter how much you serve the Zionist regime, you will remain subhuman to them.

Imagine saying white supremacist groups are not white supremacist cause they say their concern is only protecting white heritage and ignoring all the racist violence
Your definition of Zionism does not matter. Nor does mine. Zionism is defined by its material manifestations. The purpose of a system is what it does. And the Zionist system does racism and genocide. Simple. Please spare me the arrogant insufferable graaating Oxbridge debates. Your opinions are irrelevant. People are dying.

The Palestinian diaspora needs to stake a claim in Palestinian politics. And more than that it needs to find a way to force the PLO to reintegrate the diaspora into it. Superman isn’t coming. I don’t know how. But we need to collectively figure it out.

neeras entire purpose is to appease big donors by constantly yelling at the israel critical left & make dems on the hill more pliant to the demands of the MIC. this is why she tweets all the time. she doesn’t care about electoral performance, just her performance here
Fun facts: against the opposition of her own staff, @neeratanden gave a soft ball interview to Netanyahu in 2015 (while he had worked to subvert Obama's foreign policy). She was a senior advisor to Joe Biden, who had a policy of no daylight between US and Netanyahu's Israel.

Neera, as a Precinct Delegate in Oakland County, Michigan I am part of a team of 150 responsible for educating and motivating voters. We knock on lots of doors. Do you know how many times Piker’s name has come up? Zero
Do you think independents in Michigan are pro or anti Piker? That is the swing group in Michigan. It’s actually a rhetorical question. This is cultish behavior.

Al Quaeda beheads civilians. There is simply no universe where there's some comparison here. I think your posture is certifiable and every reasonable person - of every political persuasion - should condemn it.
