Today I learned about the All Souls examination, which is reputed to be the hardest exam in the world.
To even be considered, you need to have a degree from, or be a current graduate student of Oxford.
Hundreds of people sit and only two people pass every year.
Attached is last year's general exam.
Before I saw it, I wondered, how hard could it be.
Well, it turns out…it's "Defend ghosting.", "Does a pope matter?", and "Is body language a language?" hard:

Never forget what white folks did to his body. He was beheaded, dissected, and skinned. They cut off body parts to keep and made a purse of his skin. His skull was passed down thru generations for 180yrs before it was returned to his descendants.
Never let them call us animals.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

the most underrated fact in neuroscience is that the brain physically grows new tissue in response to genuine curiosity. staying curious is not just a mindset. it is brain maintenance.

I get so turned off every time a woman says something about “turning her brain off”. No, trust my decisions but keep that mf on at ALL times.
