Druski says appearing in Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” video changed the trajectory of his career and made brands start taking him seriously.
“The thing that changed my life at the time was Drake calling for the ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ music video. Everything shifted after that.”
Before the 2020 video, Druski says most opportunities involved free merch, event invites and appearances without real money attached. After being featured alongside Drake, Lil Durk, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr. and Marshawn Lynch, he says the business side of his career shifted almost immediately.
“Brands started to see me in a broader light… and they started to see me as an actual star.”
