Sir Alex Ferguson 2012, Brendan Rodgers '14, Jose Mourinho '18, Jurgen Klopp '19 & '22, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer '21 & Mikel Arteta '23 all finished second in the PL without systematic cheating. Then there's cup finals. They, their players and staff deserve justice and recognition.

Best thing UEFA did was getting rid of teams getting relegated into the next tournament. A story of Rayo Vallecano being in a European semi final is so much more interesting than some fallen giant trying to redeem a shit season.
Rayo Vallecano are in a European semi final. They dont sell online tickets. The stadium often doesnt have running water in the toilets. The pitch is a joke. The club shop looks like a teenager's cupboard. Their training ground is in pieces. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

PS. Away from the #SAFC element, Farage rubbishing the need for an Independent Football Regulator when nearly every club in the country is leaking swathes of money should help tell you exactly how much he cares about the sport

Match suddenly upside down. Maguire with a hand on Evanilson that was lighter than Amad received for his penalty claim - but this time adjudged foul + red. Can’t square those calls. #MUFC

Still 3rd. Could be worse. Just frustrating not to capitalise on teams around us dropping points. Even more so when playing 10 men. So daft to give away that pen. So weird not to come racing out of the blocks second half. Weird game for us that.

If you’d said in August that Man United would be two points off Champions League after 19 games, you’d say that’s decent progress. But the vibes are pretty bad, the idea is incoherent and feels as plausible they finish 9th as it does they finish 5th. Happy new year!

There is a lot you can criticize Amorim for tonight but the lack of intensity, desire and pedestrian movement Utd played with for a significant part of the game is 100% on the players.

23 long balls first half - 36 long balls second half. (By the way Liverpool played 67 long balls this weekend, and City 55 when they beat us, we can do without the faux outrage really).

Frustrating thing about Onana being a flop is signing him made sense at the time. We didn’t gamble on potential or an ageing player, he was in his prime. Very experienced, proven at a high level, worked with our manager before. He ticked all the boxes. It just didn’t work out.
