*no because this comment was left under jaehee's my little day video๐ญ
the fact that his singing and his story could reach someone who was going through such a difficult time and give them hope to keep moving forwardโฆi'm so touched๐ฅบ
๐คi'm a 31 y.o man who works an office job
i happened to come across jaehee through the algorithm around april this year, when i saw his king of mask singer video
his voice was so beautiful and i was especially moved when he sang Wild Flower. the way he sang with such sincerity and the look in his eyes, cherishing that precious moment, were truly wonderful
earlier this year, life was difficult for me in many ways
i realized that working life really isn't easy
the work was exhausting, i had to deal with people abusing their authority and i was expected to deliver results..
after completing my military service, i prepared for a job and worked incredibly hard because I wanted to get hired and do well. i pushed myself so much that I slept only three to four hours a day.
i worked six days a week and took only five days off in an entire year. after doing that for four years, both my body and mind were in pretty bad shape. to make matters worse, i also ended up breaking off my engagement with my girlfriend shortly before our wedding.
everything felt so meaningless and empty. i developed panic disorder and depression. i went to a psychiatrist for counseling and started taking medication.
I just wanted to give up on everything and didn't feel like doing anything at all.
then, as i mentioned at the beginning, i happened to see jaehee singing on KOMF and i was deeply moved.
seeing the hope in his eyes made me want to listen to more of his songs, so i watched his leemujin service video as well.
once again, i was deeply touched by the sincerity i could feel in his singing.
i wanted to hear more of jaehee' voice, so i searched for nctwish' songs and listened to them, too.
as i did, i came across the LASTART videos and learned about the story of how jaehee eventually made his debut
i was genuinely surprised
if i had been in his position, i think my heart would have broken. i would have felt intimidated comparing myself to the other members and i don't think i could have handled it the way jaehee did.
i found myself thinking about how difficult things must have been for him, too. his experiences overlapped with what i was going through at the time and i found myself relating to him deeply.
then i learned how jaehee had made it through those difficult years while maintaining such a bright and positive attitude. his story moved me tremendously and gave me hope
thanks to him, i'm trying to pull myself together, get back on my feet and keep moving forward
i've never left a comment like this in my life, and i'm not very familiar with idol culture either. i originally just wanted to enjoy today's video
but jaehee said that you have to express yourself and that he tries things so he won't have any regrets
so even though he might never see this, i decided to write down my thoughts
i also hope that sharing my story might give some strength to jaehee's fans, which is another reason i wanted to write this.
lastly, jaehee, thank you from the bottom of my heart
thanks to you, i'm finding the strength to keep walking forward again. just as you always have, i hope you'll overcome whatever difficulties come your way
i'll try to do the same
i also hope u never push yourself so hard that you end up experiencing burnout like i did. i'm sure you'll get through difficult times, but i can't help worrying about u with the concern of an uncle
there's one more thing i hope for, i'd love it if you kept singing lots and lots. your songs move me deeply and give me so much strength. i really love the sincerity in ur expression and the look in ur eyes when u sing
i never imagined that at 31 y.o, i'd find myself constantly listening to a male idol group' songs and even listening to the heartsping OST
i'll always cheering you on
