This was the post where I had asked traders to send in their comments to @SEBI_Awareness
Today, looking at the final circular, I would call it 7/7 on the core direction of what we had submitted
The biggest one for me
expiry settlement is back to the last 30 minutes of continuous trading, while CAS remains for the cash close.
Indicative values also stay, the timing structure has changed, and iceberg transition now gives participants a choice.
This is why participation matters
A big thank you to @iarjuntandon @vishalmehta29 @PRAFULKULKARN18 @justnottamomma and all the other traders who supported this along with @IRITA_india
Special thanks to @Ashish1Nanda for helping us take this forward 🙏🏻
Thanks to everyone who actually took the time to read, comment and send feedback as well

SEBI has revised the Closing Auction Session (CAS), extended derivatives trading hours and changed expiry-day settlement calculations.
Key changes:
1. Cash market: Regular trading ends at 3:30 PM. Closing Auction Session runs from 3:30 PM to 3:40 PM.
2. Index F&O: Trading continues until 3:45 PM, except expiring contracts, which close at 3:30 PM on expiry day.
3. Stock F&O: Trading continues until 3:45 PM, including expiry days.
4. Expiry settlement: Index and stock derivatives settle using the underlying's last 30-minute VWAP methodology, rather than CAS closing prices.
5. Closing auction: Market and limit orders accepted from 3:31 PM to 3:36 PM. Only limit orders can be entered thereafter, with random closure between 3:38 PM and 3:40 PM.
6. Pending orders: Eligible unexecuted limit and iceberg orders transition into CAS under revised rules.
7. Effective: December 7, 2026, except pending-order transition changes effective February 8, 2027.
You can simply open Position Analytics from your position book, where all your options positions are grouped symbol-wise.
Select any symbol to view its combined payoff chart and Greeks, add or exit legs, and instantly see how the proposed adjustments would impact your overall position before placing an order.
The idea is simple: everything you need to analyse and manage your options positions, all in one place.
Check out the new Firstock Position Analytics.
One of the biggest challenges in options trading is managing and adjusting existing positions efficiently.
When you're running multiple option strategies across different indices or stocks, you need to understand how your overall position changes before making an adjustment.
With Firstock Position Analytics, we've tried to simplify this entire process.
All your option positions are grouped symbol-wise, so you can view your complete exposure to a particular underlying in one place.
You can switch between different symbols from the left panel and analyse each position independently.
For every group of positions, you can view:
• Payoff Chart: Understand your overall risk-reward structure, breakeven points and how your P&L could change at different underlying prices.
• Option Greeks: Monitor your combined Delta, Gamma, Theta and Vega to understand your directional exposure, time decay and sensitivity to volatility.
• Position Adjustments: Add new option legs or exit existing ones and see how those changes affect your overall payoff before executing anything.
The idea is to make position management more structured.
As an options trader, I believe execution is only one part of trading. Understanding your exposure, evaluating adjustments and managing risk throughout the trade are equally important.
That's what we've tried to bring together with Firstock Position Analytics.
Analyse → Adjust → Review → Execute.
All from your existing position book.

The narrative that India is a hedge against AI is, insulting.
A country of billion ppl who lacks any innovation, includes me as well.
But what will we do when the condition is such that ppl still worry about their next meal instead of something profound.
This is even scarier. I invested in a gilt fund expecting around 6% annual returns, but I was never prepared to see a 3% loss in just 50 days.
Whenever I see extremist political posts, one thing always surprises me.
Why do these people genuinely believe that the entire West, George Soros, and practically everyone else in the world have only one objective to stop India from progressing?
Think about it logically.
If the West were collectively conspiring to stop a country's rise, wouldn't China be a much bigger priority? China directly competes with them in technology, innovation, manufacturing, and military strength.
India is still nowhere close to China in several of these areas. So why would the entire world spend so much time and energy conspiring against India?
What's even funnier is how practically every protest or criticism in India is somehow linked to George Soros.
I think there's a psychological explanation for this: siege mentality and externalization of blame.
It's much easier to believe that powerful external forces are constantly trying to bring you down than to accept that there could be genuine problems, disagreements, or failures within your own system.
And somewhere along the way, people completely blur the line between a political party and the country itself.
Criticising a government becomes anti-national. Disagreeing with an ideology becomes a foreign conspiracy. Every protest becomes externally funded.
It's almost as though the entire world has nothing better to do than sit around plotting against India.
To me, this is one of the easiest ways to escape accountability. If everything is a conspiracy, nothing ever needs to be questioned.
Just found out today that Flipkart has a separate section for microdramas within its app.
It is kind of scary that such brain rot content has spread so much that even top ecommerce platforms have added it in their app
Why is he behaving like this🤣
Dear Prime Minister Ambani,
Please accept my humble apologies for not realizing that you are the real boss of India.
Naturally, you would prefer to maintain your monopolistic exploitation of the great people of India, but would you nonetheless consider allowing Starlink to compete?
There are many areas of India, as there are in all countries, with no Internet access, which denies children the opportunity for education and for small businesses the opportunity to sell their goods to a global market. Starlink would change their lives for the better.
Thank you 🙏
Over the years, MTM Overview became quite popular among traders, where you can track how your P&L moves alongside the market.
But one thing I always felt was missing is the ability to go back and understand how a particular trading day actually went.
What orders did I place? How frequently was I trading? What quantities did I trade? And what actually led to my final P&L?
So while building MTM Overview at Firstock, we were clear that it shouldn't be limited to just the current day.
You should be able to go back to any trading day, see how your MTM moved alongside the market, review every order placed, and understand what drove your profits or losses.
We've also added monthly and yearly views to help you understand your performance over time.
The idea is simple. Your own trades are your best teacher, and we wanted to make it easier to learn from them.
Introducing Firstock MTM Overview.
Most trading platforms show you your P&L. But we wanted to go a step further and help traders understand the journey behind those numbers.
With MTM Overview, traders can track how their P&L evolves throughout the day alongside market movements, review their positions and orders, and share verified P&L.
We've also introduced monthly and yearly performance views, allowing traders to analyse historical results and revisit any trading day in detail.
Our goal is to make trading performance more transparent, accessible, and easier to analyse.
Because understanding how you trade is just as important as knowing how much you make.
Firstock. Building What Matters.

Most of the growth in the industry's MTF book is in small and microcaps. These are the stocks where liquidity tends to dry up first when markets either fall or go sideways, like they are right now😬
Even if Starlink comes to India, the expected pricing is around ₹3,000 per month for speeds of up to 200 Mbps, along with an upfront hardware cost of around ₹30,000.
At this price point, you would generally expect paying customers to be concentrated in Tier 1 cities.
But the problem is that 200 Mbps broadband is already available in India at a fraction of that cost, with very reliable connectivity in most well-served urban areas.
There are also regulatory and data security concerns.
Starlink can definitely help in remote areas where traditional broadband infrastructure is unavailable. But affordability becomes a major challenge in those markets.
IMO, I don't see Starlink making a significant difference to the average Indian internet user, at least at the expected pricing.
Happy to announce that we’ve moved from FinTarget to building Algos directly inside Firstock.🚀
Right now, Intraday time-based strategies are live with significant upgrade to the features, and very we’ll soon be introducing:
• Indicator-based Algos
• Level-based Algos
• Intraday & Positional strategies
Your algos now run directly on Firstock’s infrastructure, with no external platform in between. This makes the system simpler and more robust.
And the best part: there is no additional cost for running your algos.
No static IP.
No separate API setup.
No subscription fee.
You can create and run unlimited strategies for free and simply pay the standard ₹10 per executed order.
If you’re someone like me who runs multiple strategies, you can now run all of them on a more robust infrastructure with a much lower cost.
Built directly into Firstock. Built to run at scale.
Introducing Firstock Algos
Build, automate and run your trading strategies directly within Firstock.
Firstock Algos is built for traders who want to automate their intraday strategies without depending on external platforms, separate API connections or static IPs.
Build Your Strategy
Create time-based intraday strategies and define exactly how you want them to trade.
1. Select option legs using predefined criteria
2. Set your entry time
3. Add target, stop-loss and trailing stop-loss
4. Trade range breakouts
5. Configure re-entries and wait-in-trade conditions
6. Use Journey to control how your strategy progresses
Set overall target, stop-loss and trailing stop-loss
Direct Broker Infrastructure
1. Your strategies run directly through Firstock's trading infrastructure.
2. There is no external algo platform in between, and you don't need to manage separate API connections or static IPs.
3. This means a simpler setup, fewer external dependencies and a more robust execution environment with lower communication overhead.
Unlimited Strategies. No Platform Fee.
1. Create and run unlimited strategies without paying any additional platform or subscription fee.
2. You only pay the standard ₹10 per executed order.
Build your strategy. Define your rules. Automate it.
All within Firstock.
When the index is down 15%, how is it working out for people who are paying 12–15% interest to trade on MTF?
Surprisingly, the MTF book just keeps growing.
We have extended Smart Orders beyond individual option legs to Straddles and Strangles on combined premium.
Suppose the combined premium is trading at ₹100, but you want to sell only if it spikes to ₹120
You can now place the entire Straddle/Strangle as a limit order from the option chain. If the combined premium reaches that level, the order gets triggered.
Once executed, you can manage the trade using:
• Target on combined premium
• Stop-loss on combined premium
• Trailing stop-loss
Built specifically for active option sellers with just ₹10 per executed order.
We have introduced Smart Orders on Firstock for both individual orders and combined premium orders.
Normally, Smart Orders let you place a target, stop-loss and trailing stop-loss on a premium.
But we have extended the same thing to Straddles and Strangles as well.
Say a Straddle is currently trading at ₹150, but you only want to sell it if the combined premium suddenly spikes to ₹260.
Now, you can simply place the entire Straddle as a limit order at ₹260.
If the combined premium reaches ₹260, the Straddle gets executed automatically.
And once the trade is live, you can manage the entire Straddle or Strangle based on its combined premium with target, stop-loss and trailing stop-loss.
A small feature, but something that can be extremely useful for active option sellers.
Try Smart Orders on Firstock.
Do try our new reports. Your own trades can tell you a lot about what is working for you and what is not.
Before building these reports, we spent a lot of time what traders need, what information they look for, and what they end up putting together manually.
We wanted to make that process easier and give you the important information about your own trading in one place.
With the new reports, you can understand:
Account and Equity:
Your performance compared with the market: See how you have performed against the market over the same period.
Your equity trading statistics: Understand how your equity trades have contributed to your overall performance.
Options:
Your options trading statistics: A clearer view of how your options trades have performed.
Your order frequency and daily P&L: How many orders you placed each day and how much you made or lost on that day.
Your symbol-wise performance: When all your trades in a symbol are put together, how much have you actually made or lost?
Your day-wise performance: Which days have been profitable, and which days have been loss-making?
At the end of the day, we believe your own trades are your best teacher. But the information needs to be presented in a way that helps you learn from it.
That is what we have tried to build. Do explore the reports and share your feedback with us.
It was encouraging to see Firstock being used by @PRSundar64 , especially the latest reports we’ve worked on.
Knowing that one of India’s most experienced options traders finds them useful means a lot to our team.
We’re grateful for the trust and will keep improving.
