I've been asked why artists can't just "adapt and work alongside AI". This implies that artists and AI artists are on equal standing, when in reality it's a parasitic relationship. Artists will thrive without AI, but AI needs to steal from real artists' work to automate images.

I remember drawing with a reference image from one of my fav artists opened up beside my illust and my little cousin came up to me, saw my screen, and pointed at the reference image saying "I prefer that one"

granted I was still very new to digital art so i was aware of my limitations but i remember feeling so offended yet also unable to refute his comment because yeah kid, I prefer their art too
