Chris Pappas respects and serves his community.
He’s not driven by a desire to accumulate power or benefits, validate his own ego or settle scores.
I genuinely hope and pray South Africa sees the rise of more leaders like him.

Chuck Schumer refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor. He also never said anything about Rep Ilhan Omar’s house being raided. Schumer has no place in Democratic Party leadership.

Chuck Schumer has been in political office for 51 years and 10 months.
And at 75 years old he needs MORE?
After 51 years, he needs to lead the Senate AGAIN?
And you're going to give it to him?
That's your genius fucking plan??????????????????????

Annie Andrews is explicitly condemning the starvation of Gaza. Turek, Hamilton, and Talarico support an arms embargo on Israel. Abdul is, well, Abdul. Scott Colom in deep red Mississippi is boasting about not taking a dime from AIPAC. Troy Jackson called it a genocide. A wine mom in Tennessee ran on Medicare for all and ending the genocide in Gaza and won in a Trump +24 district. The era of Democrats being blindly pro Israel is OVER. The average Democrat thinks Israel is as bad as Russia.

Tonight, a mosque hosted a Shabbat against genocide. Jews, Muslims and people of different backgrounds standing together for Palestine and humanity. This is who we are in South Africa.

Gwede essentially saying urban voters are too much hard work because they expect things like reliable water and electricity provision. 🙈
Messaging after the elections are as important as that which you execute before. Voters may just remember this next time. @chrisvick3

We haven't suffered years of hardship and dread from fascist gangsters to finally put them down, only to have our leaders play nice with them. We need fighters!

So he is resentful that citizens demand basic service delivery. He is speaking as though he is annoyed that we aren’t all grateful to get a few crumbs from the ANC. Annnnnddd this is why they have gotten the results they got.

Do your homework on what campaigns Schumer didn't give money to when they needed it the most...

People like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, who support war and genocide and oppose wildly popular programs like universal healthcare, are reaping the benefits of the backlash to Trump after taking zero accountability for the horrors their party unleashed.
That's why you hear so many calls to block them from majority leader and speaker. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed on Iran: “There is one person in the world that has been trying to get this war fought for nearly all of our lifetimes. It is the Prime Minister of a foreign government. Gets invited to the Situation Room where he gets to dupe the dumbest fucking guy who ever was president and then now we’re in a war that everybody could’ve told you was a dumb idea to fight”

Removing him from leadership is the first thing the new Democratic senate should do.
SCHUMER: “I have many jobs as majority leader... and one is to fight for aid to Israel! All the aid that Israel needs, I will continue to fight for it!”
“We delivered more security assistance to Israel our ally under my leadership than ever, ever before. We will keep doing that...”
“I will always fight to give Israel what it needs...”

Democrats,
Who leads the Democratic party is as important as the historic wins we achieved on Tuesday.
For once - FOR ONCE - prioritize this and push for NEW instead of OLD.
Different instead of the same.
Think of tomorrow instead of TODAY.
Democrats need NEW LEADERSHIP.

We do not need Andy Burnham’s permission to investigate Britain’s role in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
He refused an inquiry. 80,000 people answered him in thirteen days.
Truth does not need the Prime Minister’s signature. It needs 100,000 of ours.

"Do you believe that leaders have a responsibility to challenge the extremist views within their own religion?"
Sara Haines's question to the first Muslim senator on The View today.
When was the last time you saw Chuck Schumer asked to challenge extremist Jews, or Ted Cruz asked to challenge extremist Christians?
This is what an Islamophobic double standard looks like.

For all the talk about Black voters being Democrats’ core constituency, they were somehow surprised by the fury of Southern Black Dems, whose voting rights were just curtailed by SCOTUS.
I guess Black voters are more on their radar when AIPAC uses them to factionalize the base.
