Excellent Safeguarding talk from @safeguardingGP Information sharing is critical, it’s lack is highlighted in many serious case reviews. Even if it turns out concerns were unfounded, sharing them is justified, same as every USC referral is not expected to confirm cancer #rcgpfa

The pandemic and subsequent lockdowns have created a real barrier between victims of domestic abuse and support services. We hope the new Ask for ANI codeword will enable victims to access the help they so urgently need.

There is no doubt closing schools will have a negative impact on children.The govt must learn from mistakes made in the last long lockdown. I want to see a clear plan from Ministers that keeps vulnerable children in school & provides tech for remote learning for all who need it.

Our staff and colleagues deserve trauma informed care as much as the patients and public they care for. Many colleagues could be in survival mode and we need to support them to have psychologically safe listening lounges so they can adapt and recover.

Another great @RcgpFaculties safeguarding course today - all virtually of course! Great discussions around DVA; info sharing & documentation; safeguarding in care homes. Honest discussions about the safeguarding challenges we face as GPs. Fab to have so many GP trainees too.
