During a speech at Bloom festival on climate change, President Michael D Higgins says: ‘The peoples of the world are aware of this crisis but there are corporations who are going in the other direction and are very active in trying to get us to retreat from our commitments’

During #ClimateWeek2024, Irish Senator @aliceeire is working to stop a bill that fast-tracks LNG & overrides environmental regulatory processes. This is the time to get off of fossil fuels, not put them on steroids! Is "blueprint for LNG" going to be @greenparty_ie gov't legacy?

Una oportunidad que no debemos desperdiciar en #Ireland … I hope Minister @smytho had listened to our Colombian 🇨🇴 contra part @tatianaroaa on the importance of implementing the @fossiltreaty as part of our own #irish Green agenda. Happy to help! @EamonRyan @SimonHarrisTD

.@Rodericogorman why did @greenparty_ie go into gov’t to stop LNG & now want to facilitate? You may want to read your own party’s policy. Respectfully, we can’t go forward by going backwards.
Hopefully new leadership can move forward @pippa_hackett @neasa_neasa @smytho @RoisinGarvey
There is a call to join an anti-#LNG protest tomorrow Thursday June 27 at Trinity College for @greenparty_ie members in their way to their husting event

The triumph of no-mow May! 🐝
Was woken at 7am to the sound of mowers but the lads agreed to spare the early-purple orchids and the ragged robin 🙏 We need a campaign for low-mow June/July/August/September so bugs and plants can make it through the year 🌻

Irish and US climate activists protest in Dublin over government proposals for floating 'LNG' gas terminal
irishmirror.ie/news/irish-ne…
Ireland has banned #fracking why @EamonRyan and the @greenparty_ie insist on a government funded LNG terminal?
.@greenparty_ie should not break its promise & move forward w/ gov’t funded LNG import terminal.
The US gov’t has a ban on LNG export permits while it assesses the national security & climate risks. Why isn’t Ireland doing the same? @sinnfeinireland @SocDems @labour @pb4p
To the @NorwayMFA @NorwayUN Government.
I just confronted the CEO of @equinor and it’s majority shareholder, the Norwegian government, at their AGM.
The people in this room are responsible for the UK’s biggest undeveloped oil field - Rosebank.
We are no longer pleading. We will #StopRosebank

Farming doesn't have an image problem, it has a pollution problem. Publicly-funded @Bordbia had a budget of over *€87 million* in 2022, including it's 'Origin Green' greenwashing programme. Is this an admission that OG has failed miserably?

Yet another airport converted into a marina. Nature bats last, as they say, and she’s stepping up to the plate right now.

I would like to see an end to *all* trawling and dredging within 6nm of the coast, regardless of boat size. This will give the best chance for marine life recovery.
Please make a submission, it only takes 5mins
